I hate Mac's pressers. He always sounds scared.
Gets back to being afraid of getting blasted. He hasn't mastered the art of speaking in athlete platitudes. He knows the media is going to grill him, and then he's gong to have face the music with Bill after. I really think he's looking at it as a lose/lose.

His voice cracks....He looks down at the floor....can't stand it. Hes a wenie.

I am going to go out here and talk to them, screw it up, and then get blasted by Bill. FML

Oh wow... this is probably different from what you'd read, but that was quite the short but deep rabbit hole. I guess it really used to be based on the Old English word acsian, with usage going back over 1200 years for aks, axe per the 1st English bible, or ax per Chaucer and countless others. I wonder if someone made the executive decision (not Queeen Elizabeth I) to not have a homonym for a sharp weapon/tool. I'M GUNNA AXE 'IM. Weeht what? Don't Kell 'Em... Nuooo Nuooo joost acsin' 'im a keschun!

For me, it was introduced decades ago by the classic Delta Airlines Ebonics commercial. I guess I shouldn't be judgmental anymore regarding its usage, as I had thought it was just lazy. It's just like Mom high waisted jeans - making a comeback.
It's an a amazing story, and reflects that slaves were taught English by the lower class "serfs" (basically) from southern England, where "acs" was used, as opposed to the nobility of the north who used "ask."

I study language a lot in my work, and the rules/words have some really bizarre backgrounds.

"To boldly go where no man has gone before" is improper English, but the "why" is fascinating.

Talks scared, plays scared, looks scared...
Yep. It’s in his genes. Probably never been on his own before graduating from college and has to face a big hostile world for the first time.

Very interesting quotes in this one. Good to see JC take full accountability, but the paragraph at the end is bordering on Belichick worship. I dunno if I’ve seen that much praise from a player before towards Bill, especially after being disciplined. Have to imagine he knows he’s never seeing the rest of that big salary in future years and he needs to get his act together if he wants to scrape together a decent future payday, since the only team who likely wants to keep working with him in a serious starting capacity right now is New England.
I'm just curious.. if Jack hadn't been cut. Would he be accountable? He has plentiful of financial security. He's been to the mountain top with winning a superbowl. After that tough injury last season I'm shocked he's still playing. Just wonder what really is his motivation.

We hope not Mac.

It seems "all 3" QB's being told to be ready doesn't include a surprise Malik takeover...
But, I must say, at this point, I wouldn't mind seeing him get a shot.
Problem is - he's not getting real snaps in practice.
Another problem - and the sign of true mental breakdown - is if BB runs this game like a preseason and has 3 QB's try out, it'd be a complete slap in the face of Kraft, the fans, and would seal his complacency as the reason to cut the cord.

Talks scared, plays scared, looks scared...
That is my frustration with him. Hasn't gone out and taken control of a game, and hasn't been able to string such performances together. Incredibly frustrating.
