Probably the worst interception I've ever seen, just awful. Mac's brain is fried, accommodated by horrid OL play. Greg Bedard pointed out that rush pressure in the Colts game was 67 percent, average being around 30 percent. Mac was shellshocked in the first half and began dropping his eyes to the rush. Lowe is little more than a traffic cone.
Blame it on Lowe, a player that got 6 snap counts?

Not sure what you're saying. He had only one snap count on that play. (I was responding to SB1's comment re. Lowe.)

You can’t start this guy

He will not start. But it won't look much different.

Zappe/Grier will keep on losing. The roster just isn't very good. And from all accounts from how bad Mac is the only reason he's starting is the coaches think zappe/Grier are much worse

Ok, Jones and untested 4th rounder was Bill's plan. He should be fired for that strategy if it didn't work, and he will be.
============
When you an actual QB that is your long-term QB, then a 4th rounder is fine as a backup. When you aren't sold on your starter, a 4th isn't enough.
You wanted them to take what QB in the 1st round?

(Because no QBs other than Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy have made it from the later rounds in the last 10 or so yrs)

Lowe was beaten on Mac’s int. I was agreeing with Daniels. He is trash. The OL is a fixer upper needing renovations everywhere before the team is good again.

This is what happens when your HC/GM who knows a lot more about defense than offense loses a great football mind in Scar and tries to wing it.

I told you how it was a month ago, he sucks royally and it's not because anyone "ruined him."

He's the same exact player he was as a rookie, only now teams have film on him and know exactly who he is.

"Good for a rookie" is only good for a kid who just arrived, if you're the same player in year three you stink... he stinks.

If he's mentally weak, which he is... he stinks. It's not because of his line or weapons, it's him.
He is not necessarily ruined.. he's just not the QB I thought he'd become or anyone for that matter.. it's ok.. I've accepted it like many of us have. It's best if just got a fresh start somewhere else.. if there was another competent QB on the roster then he could have been traded. What you have to be as a QB is mentally tough, an alpha and leader of men. Tough to fine those qualities in a Rookie QB these days. However we need a QB.. I'd say get cousins as the bridge while drafting and developing a guy.

absolutely this.

he has not dealt with the pressure - mental and physical - well at all.

and, in case its needed, let me be perfectly clear - i do not want him on this team any longer. I do not want him to play.
NE is probably the toughest place to play in sports.. seeing near excellence at the QB position for so long to have to witness what we have now. As you said.. it's to move on. Trade Mac in the off get what you can. Find the bridge guy, while drafting and dare I say.. DEVELOPING the next guy.

Gesicki is wide open, he is 6'5," runs a 4.5 forty and has arms longer than most of our offensive linemen.

The ball should have been out immediately, it had nothing to do with Lowe...

I can't believe anyone is still shilling for Mac after that game.

I'm glad you finally came around, even if you needed to be bludgeoned over the head to make it happen.

We have no clue how Zappe or Grier will play as a starter, neither do the coaches for that matter.

Hopefully we find out over these final seven games, even though it should have happened a month (year) ago.

We saw zappe in a few games last season and he played well. So in limited opportunity this season he hasn't looked any better than Mac. I'm more eager to see what if any Grier can be. We just need someone to look competitive and competent as the bridge QB while we draft and develop Maye hopefully.

Coaches even the great ones need players.. I've mentioned that BBs legendary coaching tenure is ending how it started here in NE.

I don't think you'll find much Mac apologist anymore. Most of us have come around. As I've said I've come to the realization that this isn't the place for him. Need a strong armed QB, a great decision maker and athletic ability. I don't know if BBs coaching style is conducive to being able to develop a young QB anymore. Brady was cut from a different cloth. Some want him back in the building in 24 I know I don't.

Well Deatrick UnWise says he 100% behind Mac.

You don't know that stop Gauging every Patriots QB off Mac Jones our Receivers might be rejoicing inside. Footballs won't be hanging five yards late behind them now Mac balls hang no pun.

I wonder who are those 15 Homers who voted yess?? Show yourselves.

"Shilling" lmao ok.

The ball was out in 2.2 seconds per Daniels. His release time was fine, it's his mechanics under pressure. I'm agreeing with Daniels that Mac's problem is the way he handles pressure. He panics (and in this case the pressure came from Lowe blowing his block) and doesn't set his feet and the ball doesn't come out right. Panicking under pressure is what got Stidham sent packing and I expect the same to happen to Jones.

And Lowe doesn't belong in the league. Not his fault he's just a symptom of this offensive line being built by a GM/HC who without Tom Brady can't seem to building offense that works in the modern game. The same GM/HC with a losing record sans Brady isn't winning much this season either. I mean if you're saying it's all the QB's fault regardless of the team around him then I'm too happy to give all the credit to the QB for wins regardless of the team around him. So 100% of the credit for the dynasty goes to Brady and ONLY Brady. Works for me!

I'm not sure if Mac was the problem originally but he has become the problem now. Water under the bridge. Leaves us in a tough spot since it would be nice to address some other desperate need vs. QB again so soon.

Zappe is trash, full stop. He won't be on the team next year so starting that stiff is a waste of time unless they plan to put him up for a trade. Then he should start the rest of the way and then hopefully some team will send us a 2025 7th rounder for him. Right now his trade value is zero.

Grier is the real unknown but I wouldn't expect miracles from that guy either.

I think its more then that. They had to run the Qb to do thier due diligence. He was a first round draft pick. If you bench him then you get the cries of, oh he didnt have enough of a chance. I am not sure what the coaches think of the backups, but playing Mac was more of a doing all you can do to see thing, more than who they think is best. I remember in Bill's book he says that he watched players go with Brady on the second team in practice and they looked so good they bring them back over then they look bad again. They had to see that Brady was doing better, but yet didnt start him. There is no quick hook that early in a process, until they just give you no choice but make the change.....like now.
