vs Commanders - no more pass rush, Pats can get a W
vs Colts - definitely beatable, overall a mid team, Pats can get a W
- bye week -
@ Giants - they suck, Pats W
vs Chargers - Bill owns Staley, who will probably be fired by this point, Pats W
@ Steelers - Bill owns Tomlin, Pats W
vs Chiefs - unfortunately the Swifties end the win streak, Pats L
@ Broncos - Broncos embracing the tank by this point, Pats W
@ Bills - Bills revenge game, Pats take an L
vs Jets - Rodgers triumphantly returns but just looks like crap and Jets miss the playoffs, Pats get W

Pats finish 9-8 with a WC spot. Playoffs babyyyyyyyy!
This was possible if they played well at Mia and didn't lose Bourne.
But they regressed even before Bourne went out. Mac isn't a guy that can make WR's better. I've seen too many plays where he doesn't see the wide open guy. And I don't know if our OL is getting better. Brown is ailing, Mafi/Sow in and out. Henry has even become invisible.
Now we're hoping BB lets BOB play all the young WR's, or he's going to run the power I the rest of the season.
I don't know. But, if we can win this week it'll be a massive success.

It’s reasonable. They have to improve to do it and be consistent but none of those games are a huge stretch
Yeah, my post is kind of a “glass three-quarters full” tongue-in-cheek notion, but none of the individual scenarios are actually unreasonable. It’s just tough to really expect that they can actually accomplish all of them after falling on their faces several times this year already. However, it could happen. Unfortunately it could also happen that all of these things happen and they still miss the playoffs because 9-8 wasn’t good enough.

I look at it as “if they play to a certain level”. They haven’t played to that level
so far but that level is surely attainable.

This has to be an easy W after they gutted their team. They basically raised the white flag.

Allow me to retort.

The Pats can lose to Was just as easily as win
An overall mid-team is better than a bottom feeder
Giants have one of Bill's proteges as the HC. That's a possible loss
Steelers lost their QB so that could be a win
KC's as weak as they've been in a while. Too bad the Pats are in a down year... again.
The odds say they lose the Buf & Jets games but they could win one

Pats finish 4-13 and Bill inches closer to passing Shula* for most wins by a HC. At the current rate he should get there some time during the 2026 season. That should be fun.

You're trying awfully hard to throw cold water on a pipe dream.

vs Commanders - no more pass rush but Mac throws two picks and Zeke fumbles in their own end. Loss
vs Colts - definitely beatable but we get another helping of Minshew Magic, Mac plays ok but still two Patriots turnovers. Loss
- bye week -
@ Giants - Giants ascending and in games, pull a close one out against the Pats. Loss
vs Chargers - Bill owns Staley (but not as much as Staley owns himself) but Herbert throws 3 TDs and 30 screens doesn't get it done. Loss.
@ Steelers - Steelers also ascending and winning games. Loss
vs Chiefs - Taylor Swift doesn't show up because she's still on tour. Pats still lose.
@ Broncos - Broncos suck but still have a more productive offense than the Pats and are playing at home. Pats loss.
@ Bills - Bills revenge game, Pats take an L
vs Jets - Jets are playing confidently and the Pats' players stopped buying in weeks ago. Pats Loss.

With my revisions. 2-15.

With Washington’s best edge rushers off the team now I can see Mac having a good day this Sunday. Regardless, I’m over him it’s clearly time to move on.

Yeah, sorry about that, but I don't really have to try that hard and I'm just not happy with the team's direction. I have no problems seeing them lose after the run they had, but this goes beyond just losing. Their offense is an embarrassment and in order to fix that the Pats will need to pay up, and that's not their MO.

In Bill's last 10 years the Pats have had the same type of seasons. Start slow, show progress and then finish slow, many times costing them home playoff games at the end. And half of those seasons had Brady at the helm, so the ups and downs were both better but they still existed.

It's past due the time for a change and that doesn't include Bill or any of his crew. The track record for his understudies has been abysmal.

Yep, I've been holding off on my judgement of him but he's making the same mistakes and not improving on his weaknesses. Maybe he'll make it some day, but that time isn't now and may be never.

Is there such a thing as an easy win when you struggle to score 17 points and your quarterback commits at least one brutal turnover a week.

This team lost to a horrific Raiders team anything is possible.

The missing pass rushers help but it's the defense that shouldn't underestimate the Commanders. I said the guy to watch was RB Robinson. Howell too, he threw for almost 400 yards against the Eagles.

Cam Newton was doing this during his last days in Carolina play faking to nobody. Very weird.
This looked to me like he actually expected the ball to be handed off to him and was turning around wondering where the hell it was

Do Homers think we have a chance in this game?? You all are delusional if y'all think that. Yeah the commanders Traded their Pass Rush but know fully well they can Beat this Pathetic Patriots Team by scoring 20 points. Our laughable Defense Secondary is going to get exposed again. Commanders Three WR's are going to tear us a new one. One last thing Sam Howell > Mac Jones. Waiting for the Homers rebuttals...
