Stevenson was benched for a month his rookie year after fumbling the ball the first game of his rookie season. And he from all accounts has a good attitude. So Boutte being benched for not tapping the second toe is expected. But he will get longer because he seems to have attitude issues.

I still don't know if that was even a fumble.

A player whose college career was derailed when he doubled toe tapped and broke his foot. It’s not a knowledge thing, it’s a fear he could hurt his foot again and possibly end his NFL career.
Not performing seems to have already ended his NFL career. Whether it was fear as you suggest, entitled attitude as his tweet suggests, or something else doesn’t matter. It is what it is.

Seems silly to be turn this into a Parker/JuJu issue when Reagor is also clearly ahead of Boutte as well.
According to who BB and BOB?? Since when are they credible regarding WR's?? I hope they cut Boutte and he goes on and does well for his next Team. Team lacks Playmakers and we sitting young guys with upside on the bench. Team had First shot at D-Hop and let him leave the building with all that cap space how foolish. Yeah D-Hop makes that catch.

Demario Douglas fumbles then is MIA after that. Boutte doesn't get his foot down then is MIA after that. Juju and Parker can fumble, get outmuscled on interceptions, drop passes, run short of the sticks on third down, and just be all around bad players who offer nothing. I would rather the young guys be out there making mistakes with the potential of big plays and an idea for the future than two overpaid bums making mistakes and offering no upside.
That^.

Ivan, I hope he does last long term with the team. I hope he turns into a productive receiver. God knows we need one (or five) of them.

He's got the raw talent. but guys with raw talent get lapped by regular guys all the time at the NFL level. over the last few years we witnessed a street free agent out hustle a first round pick... why? not because he had more talent...

Given where this team is at I’m more than fine with purging veterans who aren’t getting it done, and going young to give them playing time and finding out who can contribute and who can’t.

Sure, Boutte is ready to light the world on fire. That's why he went in the 6th round! Pay no attention to his college coaches all of whom bad mouthed him. What do they know?!?!?!?!

Demario played 2 weeks later. And he was holding the ball out there like a breadloaf on the previous plays he handled it in that game. You don't think Troy Brown told him about this? Of course he did. Players are accountable to learn from mistakes even when it doesn't result in a fumble. And that's done for a reason.

The NFL isn't Liberty University

I don't get you most times...AB was a 6th Rounder also Puka Nuca 5th rounder. Late Round players can outplay their Draft positions the Goat says hello. IF BB wanted High character players then he shouldn't have drafted Boutte. Stop trying to justify every move by BB and his minions make they have been wrong more times than not the last four years.

I don't know why they just don't release him and Zappe.
And now Boutte added to injury report -- hamstring ... As fake as it gets

Those guys proved themselves. You're making an assumption that, based on history, has only a 1 in 100 chance of being correct. You're hoping against hope that Belichick doesn't know what he's doing with this kid. That's how far over the top you've become

You nailed it see I didn't have to do anything.

If he is that scared, he is not suited to be an NFL player. Athletes have to have short memories.

Has anyone else noticed ball carriers are the only players Bill singles out if they make a mistake? This started during the days with Maroney if he didn't get a big gain, they immediately took him out and replaced him with someone else or starting throwing. Ridley would go on timeouts when he was their best RB since Corey Dillon rushing for 1,200 yards and 12 TD's.

But if a lineman whiffs a block and the QB gets sacked or fumbles/turns it over, they still go right back out there on the next drive. If a QB throws multiple pick sixes, he goes right back out there the next game. If a DL gets pancaked and gives up a big gain or TD, he's trotting right back out there. If a DB constantly gets beat, he goes right back out there. If a Kicker badly shanks an easy kick....well they can't bench him until the next game.

There needs to be more consistency among other players if a mistake is made.
I still don't know if that was even a fumble.
It wasn't.
