This offense is absolutely putrid. They’re making this Saints D look like the ‘85 Bears. Nothing is in sync. Each play is a different breakdown of some type. They can’t just put it all together. The personnel decisions are a head scratcher as well. I’m not kidding when I say that I am genuinely shocked at how bad they are. I thought for sure Billy O would’ve been able to creatively scheme around any personnel deficiencies. I was wrong. You’ve got 2 x-factor weapons in Gesicki and Douglas and continue to not find any creative ways to create mismatches and get the ball into their hands. The running game is non-existent. This is really concerning guys. There’s no improvement, it only gets worse.
I do agree with those that defend Mac in the sense that he has no time. And yes Zappe would not fix that specific issue. My deal is that may he provide some kind of damn spark. There is truly no fire in the belly on this team, or at least that is how it is coming off on TV. Cats have been coming loose all quarter. Man do I miss Dante...
Legitimate chance this team starts 1-7, if that happens you owe it to the franchise to consider pulling the plug on the final 9 games and suffering 9 bad weeks to fix the quarterback situation for 10-15 years.
You are a Mac apologist. Clearly any average QB would win with this **** show offense. Statistics say this is in the convo for worst line, we have a bottom tier WR corp, somehow the running game is less productive than the passing game, but any QB is winning here.
In all seriousness, Mac isn’t playing good, but neither is anyone on this offense. It’s a top to bottom issue.
