If he is out a while, what round comp pick are the Pats looking at ?

4th based on contract size alone...

I hope JC Jackson has a full and complete recovery... Was always a good teammate, and was fun to watch.

Poor guy.

Mahomes has this a few years ago. He came back rather quickly but obviously plays a completely different position with different demands on the knee.

Just wait to see our secondary next year, after the Chargers cut Jackson and he signs a one-year prove it deal with the Pats to cash in on the market again after 2023….
so true

You really don't have to be a doctor to figure out JC shouldn't have kept playing on that ankle. Your body overcompensates and then you get a massive injury elsewhere on you leg.

I'll admit I was wrong. Belichick is good at knowing when to let corners go and get at getting gems at the corner position

May never be the same. Silver lining is it happened to him after getting paid and not during his contract year. Still stinks but it's easier to cry into a pile of cash. He can at least suffer in comfort now.

Prior to signing Revis and Browner, he was on a cold streak for years prior at the DB position ... remember how awful that 2011 defense was?
Part of that was caused by them signing Ty Warren to a top of the market deal at DT, only to have him suffer a career ending hip injury almost immediately. They also signed CB Leigh Bodden to a decent deal in 2009 and he was playing really well before suffering a career ending injury.

I get that some people hate talking about the salary cap, but in 2010 Tom Brady was the highest paid player in the entire NFL, for a little while at least. When you pay the highest paid player, then two of your more expensive defenders get hurt, that's tough to replace with no money. That's why we ended up watching jag Kyle Love play next to Wilfork and had CB's like Sterling Moore for years... because we were paying Ty Warren a ton of money to not play.

Brady taking less money from 2014 on was one of the most selfless act of leadership you can find in pro sports in the modern age. It's the most underrated aspect of his career nobody but the cap savvy talk about.

No one is perfect.

Talib was pretty good.

Bill actually tried to sign JC in FA at the 11th, but he chose LA.
