You must be watching a different game than the rest of us! Mac was lucky he didn't throw a pick six on that awful screen pass. By my count he was something like 4 for 12 passing on third down. If not for the completely blown coverage by the Jetes, his stat line would be awful!

Got stuffed on a crucial third down run too! Only the fact that they were playing a god awful Zach Mcmilfson allowed them to win this game.
Yesterday, on third down, he was 6-of-14 (42.9%) 81yds

First Half: 5/9 (55.6%) 65yds

Second Half: 1/5 (20%) 16yds

Team was 8/19 (42.1%) overall on Third Down Sunday

First Half: 6/10 (60%)
Second Half: 2/9 (22%)

The talent discrepancy between offense & defense is obvious. Phillips, Mills & Jennings would be starters on other teams. White may be in conversation for DROY on another team.

Meanwhile, the pats have a bottom 5 WR group & are playing musical chairs at RT. If the talent was more balanced they’d be 2-1 right now.

Paraphrasing a prior comment of mine - I'm good with pouring assets into D, but it would be nice to see heavier investment in the unit that handles most of this trivial thing called scoring.

Tony Romo gave mad props to Steve Belichick who was missing all kinds of starters and still choking off the Jets offense.
Kid's done a great job. No question. Although he's playing in the shadow of his dad, so he'll probably never get a lot of notice outside of here. At least not until after Bill retires.

If you want to call a Zach Wilson led team an "offense". Then again you think Zappy is good so your standards probably need to come up a bit.

Stop dissing your boy Corky on his statement game.

The NEGATIVITY is depressing. Three corners down, good pass defense. OL finally had 5 competent starters, the team rushed for 150 yards, adequate protection against an excellent front. I don't remember hearing John Franklin Meyers name, did he play? Interior DL stifled two excellent running backs. Rookie PK made difficult kicks in poor weather. Mac even has flashes of adequacy. b I hesitate to say on this forum, but there seemed to be some decent coaching before and during the game. Looking forward to Dallas.

3 drops by JuJu on that, 1 by Henry and 1/2 by Douglas with both being DPI which was not called. Context matters.
That's why I included the receiving totals. Obviously, it was also raining, which hurt both sides. Although, at least they were able to run the ball.

The OLine is a mess

Mac is under duress almost immediately on every snap. The run blocking is mostly non existent. Our offense can't get any kind of rhythm going because of the turnstiles in the trenches.

The Pats ran for over 150 yards against the Jets D. That performance was not a mess. They need to improve but yesterday was a positive step in the right direction for the OL.

Agree. When someone looks at the stats it would look like Mac was terrible. But on the contrary he was so poised and made majority of good reads and throws.

JuJu and DPI we're a big factor in his stats being lower . Juju killed 2 promising drives. At this point I don't know if juju is bust or if BoB cannot call plays to match to JuJu's strengths.

Yeah man, I get not changing your mind on a macro scale about this team after this game (Like, no one thinks they're suddenly a SB contender or anything), but I swear some people just need to give themselves 24 hours to enjoy a win. Especially on the road, against a division opponent who has a great defense, in a rain storm. There's some good football in there to appreciate.

And when we really needed the 3rd down completion to put away the game on 3rd and 3, he couldn't convert.

I think JuJu ran the wrong route. JuJu still doesn't know what he is doing. I don't think that play is on Mac.

I was not a Myers fan either, but the switch has not worked out well. After watching JuJu, I can see why Boutte started and played more than JuJu at first. Let's hope Boutte is back soon. At least Boutte ran the right route and caught the ball at the end of the game, JuJu can't even do that.
