There are anti-Maroney threads all over the board from the past 2 weeks. The "Addai is a better runner" has been disproven on those threads time and again in terms of matching up the numbers. Maroney has had a better ypc than Addai even as this nonsensical attack against a player who's done nothing to deserve being attacked in this manner by his supposed fans has continued unabated. The "Addai is a gamebreaker and Maroney isn't" has gone the same way.

Exactly. The beef with Maroney is his running ability. The guy still spit the bit last night and got outperformed by Faulk on the ground. Yet we are suppossed to get off the kid's back about his running ability because he made two nice catches? Unreal.

You know, jeeze, BB should adjust the play book to include a few more outside/inside short passes to LM for some large gains............the kid looked good last night on the 2 pass plays! Tremendous speed/moves once he catches the ball. Plus when he does get hit by a defender running flat out........he's usually good for an extra 2-4 yards with his size & strength.

i was referring to a list back a few pages, which didnt have kevin faulk on it. Also, Maroney had close to twice the yards of kevin faulk last night. (total yards)

Unfortunately, I believe this statement to be pretty accurate.
Faulk's carries from scrimmage looked good and seemed to provide a spark.
Maroney's... not so much.
Nobody is afraid of our running game, and that's an understatement.
One dimensional offense is not where it's at.
Especially this time of year.

Exactly. Forget about setting all these friggen offense records. I want a more balanced attack next season. Look at the Cowboys. They got a nice 1-2 punch with Jones and Barber. Barber has a 4.9 YPC and 7 TDS plus 30 receptions. That kid is the definition of TOUGH.

I agree. Losing Morris I believe really hurt us. To me, he looked real strong.
Could we go RB in rd 1, and slide Maroney into the 3rd down/Faulk spot?
Will Faulk be back? a day 1 rb would result in a lot of bread tied up in the rb position. So m any questions.
Hopefully, Maroney will prove us wrong, but I'm concerned.
