Bill sure is making his share of head scratching game decisions the last few years.

Arguably the GOAT coach but all of the greats have their best before date. Makes you wonder.
Bill's MO has always been, and will probably continue to be, a great HC and an average GM.

No ****. That was the point I was making that went above the point at the top of your head.
And I've rooted for this team longer than you've been alive and hiding behind your computer insulting Pats fans.
I bet you were one of the original 8 that went crying to a mod to get the Brady talk out of here. You're definitely the crybaby type.
Ahhhhh, finally, it comes out. You have been crying about Brady leaving for years and now we see that you have had your soul crushed by the mods removing the Brady stuff to its own forum. And you are lashing out now because it still kills you.

One of my observations is that my happiness or unhappiness doesn't change a single ****ing thing about the Patriot's season.
Any Pats fan who isn't happy after the run they had is one ungrateful SOB. I'm not saying that we shouldn't be critical. After all, it's a message board. But the Pats could lose for many more seasons and we'd all still be way ahead of the game compared to any other fans.

Seems that this should have been taught and learned in the basics of NFL receiving course. Hopefully Troy Brown will hammer it home. I have to believe a veteran receiver like Parker or maybe even Thornton would have toe tapped.
It's a sign to me that he is too raw and not ready for NFL yet. I think time on PS would be justified.
It should be the first point of emphasis for every rookie receiver/RB. It's a rule difference that can have crucial consequences. That both BoneyT and Boutte have slipped up on this suggests that it has not been emphasized enough.

How many dreams have you had about sucking off brady. I mean your favorite food is sausage right?

****ing twink
Wow, what a mature response. At least I know now that you were indeed one of the crybabies that wanted to be shielded from those mean Brady fans.

Those are my last words with you on this subject. I know that folks here don't want to hear this stuff rehashed again, even if you do.

Showed they were good enough to win, played to lose, turnovers and poor coaching decisions the Pats undoing. That said, it was nice to see a functioning O and another sterling performance by the D, shame to walk away with a "moral victory."
I'm not a big believer in "moral victories" either. Just feels like copium for losers. We used to be the team that snatched the close wins and forced the other fanbase to come up with a "moral victory" storyline to make themselves feel better. The Patriots killer instinct has gone. Instead now we're the team that loses the close ones instead of capitalzing on the other team's mistakes and making the 150 IQ play when the chips are on the line.

BB's decision not to kick the FG on 4th and 12 and then 4th and 17 was inexcusable.

Boutte's lack of awareness and training in the pro league "toe drag/toe tap" technique is frustrating.

Mac Jones played better but his pick 6 is the play that put us in the hole in the first place and he frequently looked like a 'deer in headlights' whenever he felt any kind of pressure at all. He still also has multiple plays when he drives the ball short of the 1st down marker, revealing he's still lacking in arm strength.

Can we win games with this team? Against the bottom feeders, sure. But right now I don't see us having the overall talent level and depth to contend for top of the division against the likes of Buffalo and Miami. Who knows maybe Rodgers will even elevate the Jets above us. So that could be a 4th place AFC East finish? Now that would be a real kick in the teeth!

What made you more mad:

1. Brady leaving
2. Brady talk being moved to its own forum

lol, what a hysterically bad take.
How so? Miami does have talent and from what I heard Philly lost a few players from last year. The one thing that could derail Miami is if Tua gets another concussion.

I do not believe that Smith or Brown run routes at the speed that Waddle or Hill do, even more so in the rain.

Those 2 receivers are going to present completely different challenges from what the Eagles did. Never said the Pats won’t be able to find a way to minimize the damage but it is going to be a challenge to game plan and execute against.

Devonte Smith is one of the fastest NFL receivers. Brown is not fast but amazingly quick and strong. Waddle and Hill are both smaller, and Jo Jones and Gonzo are as fast. Not an easy assignment but, with Gonzo, not an athletic miss match for the first time in years for the Pats.

Another game versus a team with (2) #1 receivers.

The important part of these plays is that Boutte got himself INTO the positions to make the catches. He just lacked the ingrained technique to "toe tap." Getting into that position to make the catch is more than half of the battle. Yes Kayshon definitely needs refinement and I hope this BURNS a hole into his memory that he must MASTER the toe tap and toe drag as an NFL PRO receiver. You're not at LSU anymore, kid!

I'm willing to accept some growing pains with a rookie WR with the upside of a Boutte. If this were N'Keal Harry, he wouldn't even be open in the first place because that kid failed to separate from his defender at the pro level AT ALL!

The pats had 25 pressures as a team. That's more than any team that played the eagles last year. Lane Johnson gave up 6 pressures. The most he gave up in a game last year was 3.

judon 6 pressures
barmore 4 pressures
white 4 pressures
uche 4 pressures
wise 3 pressures

They are going to destroy some mediocre OLs this season.

The Miami receivers scare me more because they both have insane speed. They put up 36 points and 466 aerial yards in their last game and unlike Mac Jones, Tua can AIR the ball!

Nobody can keep up with Hill no matter how much I like Gonzo he'll need help

Yeah guess more so I look at the division and how they likely need 2 of the 3 other teams to fall short on expectations to be sure of being in the wildcard mix. That’s before even thinking about what the Pats themselves are doing. Then there are the other divisions, and considerations of those who likely have multiple playoff teams. They don’t have as much margin for error as would hope for if they want to sniff the postseason, let alone make an impact.
That pretty much sums it up.

The AFCN has a much easier schedule this year. They get the weakest division (AFCS) and the 3rd weakest (NFCW) and will most likely get 3 teams into the playoffs. And even though the AFCS has to play the AFCN they also get the NFCS, which is the 2nd weakest in the NYFL. It's not going to be easy.

Wait, so we were in contention against the Superbowl-caliber Eagles except for an inexcusable decision by Belichick, but can't contend with the top of our own division?

You might want to work on the internal logic there.

Almost wish he had more confidence in his legs than he sometimes shows, which in turn, could lead to fewer of some of those sacks. Basically just if he could be more decisive getting himself out of tight spots, rather than having the impulse he’s shown to stop looking down field and turtle up on those situations.
It seems like he isn't turtling as much as looking to move in the pocket to buy time, but he needs to just throw it away instead. The sacks can be real killers.

But unlike The Eagles we should be able to run the ball and limit Miami possessions
The main assumption you're making is that our OL opens up running lanes. I have yet to see that optimism justified. My main worry with our offense STARTS with that OL!
