Zappe must be kicking himself for deciding to sign with the patriots practice squad, when multiple other teams were interested in him. It would have been less of an issue if they signed a vet one like Colt McCoy but adding a quarterback from the same draft class basically says to him that they prefer Corral.

I am all for adding potential talent at QB. On the surface this signing does not bring in the veteran QB to be a reliable backup and provide a mentor for Mac. Is there room for 3 developmental QB's, or is Zappe in danger of getting cut from the PS once Corral learns the playbook?

I think the Zappe train has been zapped. The quickness with which they went for this Corral guy may indicate he was of interest or on their board last year and got away. I like the SEC angle someone brought up as well regarding BOB.

yep. They probably thought outside the Silo was safe and decided to send him to clean and test that notion. Guess what? The Pats were still out there near silo 18.

Corral is interesting.
In the short - intermediate, he throws like a dart player. Pretty decisive and accurate.
In the deep stuff, he sorta chucks it and hopes for the best.
But, he's also very mobile.

He’s raw. Long way to go before that happens imo. Not too crazy about his injury history either seems to have quite a few of them going back to college.
