It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I hope you know for a fact that the group is getting paid to promote pride in the Redskins name. Otherwise? Yikes. That’s a racist assumption. Do you have proof of payment? Or are you just trying to justify past virtue signaling? Not when the name has ALWAYS been derogatory and a slur. You can always find a group that will, for the right price, defend the indefensible
Snyder was a HORRIBLE owner and a worse human being, but the "redskins" had to go

My boy Ken is from Bellingham. That’s almost 97% Caucasian. Probably a lovely place to live with a very low crime rate. You’ll have to forgive him for not being all that knowledgeable when it comes to other cultures.Social Justice Warrior
I agree. Almost as bad as the Celtics.Personally, I'm offended by the Notre Dame mascot.
It depicts the Irish as short perpetually angry people. How in this day when a man can put on a dress and make you call him a woman, can this inflammatory depiction of my (half) race by allowed???
I bet they even bring the mascot onto the field in a paddywagon.
Your pal Ken grew up in North Dorchester, lived in the Franklin Field projects. Taught school in that same neighborhood for 10 years and I am WELL aware and knowledgeable when it come to other cultures. Bellingham was a logical choice at the time. All my doctors are in MA, so it was the closest I could get to Foxwoods and still be in the state (for the record)
Interesting how it went from a 96 percent rate of approval in 2016 by the Native American population to "about half" approving of the name. I wonder what the cause was that changed the perspective of a population that would (should) have taken similar polls within a four year span.A 2020 study found that about half of respondents found the name offensive, and even larger numbers found tomahawk chops and imitation dances offensive, too.
A New Study Contradicts a Washington Post Poll About How Native Americans View the Redskins’ Name - Washingtonian
In 2016, the Washington Post published a poll about whether Native Americans found the Washington Redskins' name offensive. Ninety percent of respondents said they were not offended by the team's name. The poll has since been used by Dan Snyder and other team owners as evidence that their Native...www.washingtonian.com

would love to see the name back, the Commanders is such an awful name.. sounds like an arena football team or something
That's one way to look at it.Dan Snyder.

When this was being discussed I thought Red Wolves was the best option. It’s not offensive, allows them to use their burgundy and yellow (not gold) colors, and gives them the opportunity to have some nice looking fun imagery (such as the one the Bears have).
As he always did, Snyder screwed it up. He was hot garbage from start to finish as an owner. I can see why “Cokie” Irsay, Haslem, the Bidwells and Spanos’, and Steven Ross were happy to have Snyder around so that their ineptitude seems more normal compared to “Pee Wee” Snyder. With him gone it’s a new chance to cause aggravation for “ThanksGrandpa” Mara, which is never a bad thing.
