No idea if there is even a "Friend"

My guess, he put them in the wrong bag. You are allowed to transport firearms in a checked baggage but I believe it all needs to be declared and it must unloaded. Not sure if ammunition is allowed, however?
? Unregistered guns. If they truly are unregistered they can not be transported anywhere. Period.

The only defense I can see is that someone put them in his duffel without his knowledge. Seems like this might be a hard sell. 2 glocks in a lock box and you do not notice the weight?

Here's an idea... cut the player so the team doesn't have all of these discussions and debates (which are going to get increasingly contentious and divisive) hanging over their head for the next several weeks/months. Keeping the player is going to be a nightmare for the team.

Isn't it the commissioner's list because he does whatever the hell he wants?

I read this to apply only where there is a "crime of violence". Not a lawyer.

Leave with Pay – A player may be placed on paid administrative leave pursuant to the Commissioner Exempt List under either of the following circumstances: First, when a player is formally charged with a crime of violence, meaning that he is accused of having used physical force or a weapon to injure or threaten another person, of having engaged in a sexual assault by force or a sexual assault of a person who was incapable of giving consent, of having engaged in other conduct that poses a genuine danger to the safety or well-being of another person, or of having engaged in animal abuse. The formal charges may be in the form of an indictment by a grand jury, the filing of charges by a prosecutor, or an arraignment in a criminal court. Second, when an investigation leads the Commissioner to believe that a player may have violated this Policy by committing any of the conduct identified above, he may act where the circumstances and evidence warrants doing so.

let's not forget Bill the GM personally targeted Jack Jones. He knew Jones had a checkered past, Bill the GM knew Jones was a risk...got kicked out of USC, had 2 felony charges...even Herm Edwards had some concerns about Jones...but once again, Bill the GM goes bargain shopping (just like Aaron Hernandez) and take a guy with a criminal history just because he's a "bargain" in the late rounds

Why don't we wait for all the facts to come out before we vilify him or make excuses.

And it hasn't worked out. The risks are coming to fruition. Time to accept your miscalculation and move on (again).

I think you're right, but I wouldn't put it past Goodell to change it or ignore it if he wants.

Would be great if that could happen but…..Its a fans message board. I think your expectation is unrealistic in the world we live in.

Declared at the ticket desk, unloaded, clip removed in a locked container. Ammo is allowed can't be in the same box as the weapon.. It can't be loose in say an ammo box. Has to be in a slotted holder, typically just put it back in the box it came in.

Easy peasy. Takes 5-10 minutes.

It's a much less severe thing if you keep them in your house. No mandatory jail time for one thing.

I wonder if they were dusted upon confiscation for his friend's fingerprints...
We know JJ's prints are already in the database.

Question: Why 2 glocks?
Did he not want his first glock to be lonely?

I wonder if the DA will use this as exhibit A:

Keeping the player gives you a more talented team. “People talking about it” means zero

It almost sounds like you are saying that’s a bad thing.

Any word on exactly how JJ "disrespected" BB last season; one of several factors that led to JJ's suspension last season (according to NY Post)

Then every person caught with banned mags would do the same to avoid jail.

Seems like a weak law to me.

Most defendants plead guilty to some lesser charge. It’s his second offense, and it’s MA so I’m not sure what the court will do, but all I’m saying is that we don’t know that he’ll do jail time.

He might play for the Pats this season. They probably won't cut him unless and until jail time and his lawyer could delay the trial for quite a while.

If the MA law has no exceptions, his career ends with 2.5 minimum in jail, of course.

Until then, he's free to work, play, whatever. He didn't hurt anyone, except probably himself.
