I told @Sicilian it would be page 3 before these knuckleheads ruined this feel good moment. @Ian moved all their ****ass comments to the Brady argue thread, which is a perfect place for them all to be banished, and yet here we are, regurgitating the same tired **** over and over again. The dude was in the retirement home video for chrissakes! He's coming home. Can't we be fekkin' happy about it ? No. These miserable, insufferable stooges have to continue to ***** about it. It's exhausting.
huh... the pic didnt link correctly...

Picture tom brady pointing upwards, with a big bold THIS on the pic...

Opening season game against the Eagles. It doesn't get much tougher than that for a season opener, especially adding honoring Tom Brady. I am surprised that they wanted to honor Brady on the first game with Mac Jones as QB, winning is important. Also, a new offensive system with new coaches. They are putting all that added pressure on the present QB Mac Jones. Maybe they should start Zappe and let Jones have the next one against the Fins at home. I want the best shot at winning the game; I'd take my chances with Bailey. Then let Mac have an easier game at home. What do you think? Jones could call in sick, and take a sick day.

usually when your head coach is trying to get rid of you becuase they dont think you have it anymore, its time to go elsewhere and prove him wrong.
BB wasn't trying to "get rid of Brady". More revisionist BS.

If you can’t handle the pressure you can’t handle the job. Tough game, but so is the schedule. They are probably better off getting the Eagles right out of the gate at home than later in the season when they have had time to get on a roll. And a win would give them great confidence going forward.

I think there's a handful of Tommy worshipers.
Yeah, what's there to like about Brady huh?
If there's too many of anything around here it's Billy worshipers.

It isn't just the Brady supporters who are picking at the same old scab here.

You make some valid points but what happen to the confidence if they lose to the Eagles in the opening game? Not starting Mac Jones gives them an excuse. It is a home game and they probably won't be favored to win without the added pressure.

Will there be a parade with Brady there? He could ride on one if his boats bought with taxpayer PPP money that he got by cheating, again.

Minus Jalen Hurts not playing, the Pats are not going to beat the Eagles. What’s hilarious is that it’s a week 1 early afternoon game and no one around the country is going to be paying attention to Brady returning to Foxboro…

You always go for the win, you never concede. If Zappe wind the starting job then start him, but if you don’t play the best guy then the team isn’t going to believe in you, or themselves. If Jones can’t handle it he has no place on the field. This entire season is going to be one tough game after another, and they are going to have to play their asses off all season long.

Lets discuss this after game one. Some experts say the Pats could win 10 or 12 games. Just not game 1 because it is the Philadelphia Eagles. Add Brady and his PPP boats in a parade to the equation and more stress is added to the Pats QB position. Lets talk after the game.

Really? The Eagles lost 5 starters on defense.
They lost Hargrave, White, Edwards, Epps and Gardner-Johnson. So who is going to be their Starting LBers and Safeties??
They also lost their starting LG and their Top RB.. Granted, they added Swift who should make up for the loss of Sanders, but what about LG?

Don't get me wrong. They have a very good team. But you're being foolish if you think they can just plug 4-5 rookies in on Defense and NOT have issues.

You are seriously underestimating the Patriots defense as well. Especially with the improvements they've made by adding Gonzalez.

We can talk but I believe in what I said, regardless of the sport or game. If you aren’t out there to win then don’t show up. This is the highest level of the sport, that’s what you are being paid to do. You may not pull it off, but you always go for it. If Mac Jones is actually that fragile then cut him today. I don’t believe that’s the case, but that’s what I would do if it were true.

If this is where the Patriotsare at then I would immediately make the executive decision to trade Jones to the Jets, for 5$, to share the bench with Wilson. Then I would sign Cam Newton and declare him the absolute starter , season long, whether he’s injured or not. By doing this I would follow Bill Pollians example and lose every game so they can draft Caleb Williams, QB,USC, with the 1st pick overall in the 2024 Draft.

Mac Jones. And there is no question about it. Contrary to the Negative Nancies on this board.

The bigger question for the Pats is who are the starting Tackles. But, regardless of who it is, We shouldn't need to use 5 different players over the course of the season at either position.

I think it’s most likely going to be Jones, but unlike last season it’s not his job going into camp. If Zappe outplays him Belichick will start him.
