Be nice if he decided to do a one day deal... nice but not necessary...

and he definitely needs a statue... The Brady statue needs to be Brady throwing the ball, with a semi circle arc behind him (resembling the new video board?), with the jersey back (name & #) of every guy who caught a Brady TD pass in New England

Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Wes Welker, James White, Deion Branch, Aaron Hernandez, Daniel Graham, Ben Watson, David Patten, Troy Brown, Christian Fauria, David Givens, Chris Hogan, Kevin Faulk, Danny Amendola, Antonio Brown, Mike Vrabel, Brandin Cooks, Shane Vereen, Brandon LaFell, Phillip Dorsett, Jabar Gaffney, Tim Wright, Martellus Bennett, Dion Lewis, Rex Burkhead, Scott Chandler, Malcolm Mitchell, Aaron Dobson, Danny Woodhead, Reche Caldwell, Brandon Lloyd, Bethel Johnson, Donte' Stallworth, Josh Gordon, Kenbrell Thompkins, Cordarrelle Patterson, Doug Gabriel, Jermaine Wiggins, Antowain Smith, Chad Jackson, Brandon Bolden, Corey Dillon, Sam Aiken, Donald Hayes, Kyle Brady, Keshawn Martin, Chris Baker, Marc Edwards, Alge Crumpler, Brandon Tate, Tim Dwight, N'Keal Harry, Dwayne Allen, Terry Glenn, Michael Floyd, Heath Evans, Elandon Roberts, Larry Centers, Brian Tyms, Patrick Pass, Michael Hoomanawanui, Chad Johnson, Tom Ashworth, David Thomas, Ryan Izzo, Charles Johnson, Laurence Maroney, Mohamed Sanu, Andre' Davis, Matthew Mulligan, Matt Lengel, Dedric Ward, Cam Cleeland, LeGarrette Blount, Matt LaCosse

That's all the regular season guys... not sure if there are any "post season only" TD recipients...

Be good to see him back in Foxboro

Hopefully, Tom is given the chance to address the locker room pre-game. The guy was great at firing his team up like nobody's business.

Actually playing the Eagles in the first game is a GOOD thing, imo.,If you are going to play an opponent who has the better roster (on paper) the first game would be the time to do it for these reasons.

1. they have no tape to figure what is going to happen. If you are going to out scheme a team, this is the game to do it.

2. Their season was over a month longer than ours.

3. The superbowl let down. Last time the Eagles were in the superbowl, they didn't make the playoffs.

4. ELECTRIC home field advantage. With Tom coming, the normal wild ass crowd will take even a level higher for this game. The Eagles will have to work with a silent count after their first series.

Hey, I know I'm stretching a bit here, but you take whatever advantage you can get, and there WILL be an advantage to playing the Eagles first AND at home.
I'll take it. I'll be at yhe game rooting for the patriots. At least it is at 1pm

Why don't they just bypass all rules/voting and induct him into the Pats Hall of Fame..
Then name part of the Stadium.. "Tom Brady Concourse" or something like that.
Give this great athlete his due..

Really tired of the BB vs Brady rehash. It's fitting that Brady be honored and I hope someday they have a statue of Brady and Belichick together in a sideline conversation posture. However, I wish it wasn't game one. Give the team and the QB a few games under their belt, bring him in mid season. Kraft seems to be scrambling to reclaim Brady and make some money off him.

All is right in the world. Brady is coming home. That's all that matters now.

I must admit, when I saw Brady's shocking cameo at the end of the McCourty retirement video, the magnitude of the loss of Brady finally hit me and I broke down crying. I know that many of you here will find that tardy and/or amusing, but I had been in denial hoping that somehow BB would be able to salvage things.

But there's no replacing Tom Brady.

He was the center of my sports entertainment life for 20 years and finally provided redemption for a long suffering Patriots fan.

I'll be 70 shortly, and finally have to accept that I will never see anyone like him again.

I just hope I get to see him retire in Patriots colors one more time.

You know the cliché, friend. Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened. I never thought I'd see one Lombardi, much less six. I will never hate on this team. I might get a little irritated or frustrated, but it's short lived.

You're right, there's no replacing Tom. Too many here expect that. He's once in a generation, a truly special player, and he was ours.

Once in a lifetime!

He also had that stupid safety.
Edit - in the 2nd giants game.

The eagles game was a faulking Matty P special.
Yeah have not seen that called before or since. Throwing the ball past the receiver on a deep route.

Your 1pm comment got me thinking about the schedule. There is a narrative that the fact the Pats have so tew primetime games is a BAD thing. Nothing can be further from the truth. Having most of your games starting at 1pm is actually an ADVANTAGE. Not a big one perhaps. but an advantage nonetheless.

Teams that play primetime games, especially on Sunday or Monday nights lose a lot of time for recovery, healing, and travel which only compounds the problem. Unfortunately when you play overseas, there are issues of their own

I guess I have always found this "schedule celebration" quite laughable. I mean we have known pretty much all of our schedule for a couple of years, and EVERY team we will play since January. Only the times of the games were the "mystery" I just don't get all the "excitement". It's like a made up holiday.

I hear ya. However, the NFL needs to stay in the spotlight all year 'round. So I figure it's either this or another fabricated -gate for the Pats.

There's a lot of stuff the NFL does that is a laughable attempt to print more money, and yet it works. Just put the schedule out already! People can't get enough I guess. The sea of people at the draft is mind boggling to me. A draft?

We can look forward to honoring the GOAT, one of the owners of the Raiders.

Of course this thread turns into a pissing match, you guys dont deserve anything nice, take your crap elsewhere this is celebration thread for the goat can we not rehash why he left and all the other BS in just one goddamn thread?
Yeah, @Ian moves the crap to the Brady forum. You'd think they'd be happy that he's coming home. People just like to be unhappy I guess.

Gonna be hard to create confetti statue, but I get the sentiment. I like the idea of a statue of Brady and Belichick talking on the sideline because it reflects the partnership they shared that brought the 20 year Dynasty, and 6 Lombardi’s to New England.
I just want one of Brady shouting…always gives me goosebumps!!!

You wouldn't want to see him shouting if we opened against Las Vegas.

The 5-10k Eagles fans in attendance will honor him alright. They should have picked another game/opponent. It could get ugly.
