Lol so last year's late round interior lineman didn't count as depth but this year's late round interior linemen will?
We now have 4. Ferentz got a lot of playing time.

Ferentz is gone.

It boggles my mind that people think this is a bad thing.

1 of these guys takes Ferentz's spot.

1 of them will be a starter soon, likely Andrews.

The other 2 will be backups.

When's the last time a Belichick WTF pick has made us regret saying WTF? I'm talking about guys that are rated as low round or undrafted that he takes in the third or higher. I can't think of one recently.

How do we know any of these guys will be better this year than Andrew Steuber, Chasen Hines, or Kody Russey?

The Pats are now just throwing it against the wall.
you knew with 4 fourth-round picks and 4 6th rounders they're in bargain bin heaven (I think they gave up some of that to move up in the 4th for the kicker)

there is an extremely hot seattle super-fan they keep showing. How many picks does seattle still have? Wait that might be sexist.

???

Hines is one of the 4.

So I'm already counting Hines as one of them.

Steuber is a tackle, not interior linemen.

If Russey is better than Andrews, then great!

Lol Strange didn't play that well at guard but now he is going to get moved to left tackle?
His struggles were mainly against big interior linemen so OT might be better for him.

We don’t have to. Klemm and BOB need to. We can wait and see when games show the truth.

With all of these IOL taken it certainly raises many questions about if they intend to move either of their current guards to tackle. It would explain the lack of signing a top tackle or drafting any tackles.

Or any of the new guys.

Trent at LT, Strange at LG, Andrews at center of healthy, Onwenu at RG and Anderson will probably play RT because Reiff can’t stay healthy.

These kids will have to come in and compete. If by the end of camp and preseason they have a glut of lineman expect Onwenu to be traded for a high pick and Andrews at C might retire.
This makes more sense, but it looks like Bill doesn’t know if he wants to run Shanahan’s system or his system or both.

And we are influenced by the steady drone of sports talk radio, who do nothing more than create more controversy..
35 other teams passed over Deebo Samuel..
55 teams passed over Pickens..
The draft at best is a crap shoot..
So if its a crap shoot, why pay a scouting department. Probably could do just as well with any bozo off the street using Mel Kipers draft guide.
In fact might have done better than BB last 4 years

Steuber played OG and OT in college.

Not confusing Size with Strength. 21 on the BP is decent. Someone mentioned his leg strength as well.
I always leave room for the chance I may be completely wrong. I just think with Russey and the two kids they already took it was a redundant pick. I hope I’m wrong, I never root for failure once prospects are Pats.

I figure Bill just wants to run whichever one wins more football games.

Don‘t overthink it.

They’re never switching to a west coast system. Obie will use the system they have, he always has… it’s what Alabama runs.

Seems like you need to submit your resume to NFL teams. I'm sure they would jump all over someone with your insights.
I would charge a lot less than Groh and BB and could do better. Not because I claim to know more but its an absolute roulette wheel, as many have stated

I think this board has concluded that BB doesn't want to win games.

Yeah your right kickers are more important than tackles you dope

You calling anyone a dope is laughable. A kicker is an important position. So is OT. Clearly they felt that Ryland offered better value than any of the OTs. Maybe you should stop taking the draft sites as gospel and stop pretending you have a clue about the game.
