Terrible ad placement in that article….could barely read the article using a Safari browser on an iOS device…..

Where is the assumption coming from that the Vegas offer to Meyers was more than the Pats? The guy might have just wanted to get out of New England, or out of the Pats organization that's bringing in yet another offensive coach, or go out west and enjoy the weather, or....who knows?

“He’s (Gesicki) a hard guy to cover,” Belichick said. “Long. He’s a good, crafty route-runner. He’s slick. He can get down the field.

They are doing a very good job of building depth, and only a few here would argue against that, however that doesn’t do them any good if the starters can’t compete, and as it stands right now they can’t compete on a level with most of the teams in the AFC. And regardless of what they do in the draft it’s hard to see how they put themselves on a level to be a contender without at least one major move. At this point I can only see three potentially major moves available to them, one of which (O.J.Beckham)I don’t really count because he’s frequentlyhurt, and coming back off a major injury. The other two moves are for Lamar Jackson, which is really remote, and DeAndre Hopkins, which I think is a decent possibility. But even if they can pull off that trade Mac Jones is going to have to turn into a franchise caliber QB this season. Is that possible, yes, is it likely, no. If they can land Hopkins however then they will have the tools to be a contender, but the weight on Jones, O’Brien, and Belichick to deliver on their end will be very heavy. As a fan I’ll be rooting for that to happen, but if they don’t make a big move I give it little to no chance of happening.

I thought the exact same until his "cold world" post. Now I'm not sure.

I agree…most of the signings are depth pieces which we need but we also need quality starters. Hopefully things will look a little different in that area before the 1st game of the season.

I think they are solid on most units, what they lack is big time playmakers, and Belichick has to know this. That’s why I think they will trade for Hopkins. If they do he will immediately make their offense much stronger.

And it’s not just us fans…several ex-Pats are saying the same thing.

It’s really hard to coach-up players because of CBA rules. Times have changed along with newer generations. I agree…another shoe should drop.

They do this every year. Get adequate players at every position, so they are more able to go BPA in the draft. They want to go into the draft being able to field a team.

Me as a fan I'm really high on gisikie, I like the moves we've made so far.. if these reports about D hop are true then that would explain why the teams generating more cap room! Juju is a YAC machine something we've missed since Edelman.

If they bring in a WR star, it'll be interesting to see who sits on game days. I'd guess Parker is odd man out, given the TE's.

It hasn’t worked that well in recent years. We’ll see how it goes.

I like parker.. the knock on him his career has been health. I hope we can keep what we have and ADD..

I think it will depend upon whether they draft a WR or not. If they don’t then they won’t need to cut one, as they would have a WR unit of Hopkins/Thornton/Bourne/ Smith-Schuster/ Parker, which would actually be one of the best WR units they have ever had. However they could also include Oarker in a trade for Hopkins, as he could give Arizona both a pick and a replacement for Hopkins.

He doesn’t play ST’s either, so that makes sense.

Yeah, I'm not talking about the roster, but rather game day, when they usually dress four, sometimes as few as three, if the game plan is heavy TE and run oriented.

I agree, Parker doesn’t play Special Teams, so he would likely sit. But I think it’s more likely they trade him if they get Hopkins, Parker won’t want to sit games out.

The new TE will become the wide body red zone target.

Like it so far. Clearly dead money isn't an issue as in most prior years. If we draft the right LT, trade/cut Brown - $11M off the cap if trade him. If we do get an X WR, then cut/trade Parker.

Draft Priority:

LT - If Brown stays, then 2nd pick and CB 1st
CB - tall one that could move to FS in a year or two if needed
TE - good year for it, Henry aging
ED - Not going to keep both Judon and Uche in '24
FS - for ST/develop for '24
C- develop for '24
P (that can do kickoffs)
K (if the 'ole man is done)
