PHOTOS: Tom Brady And Teammates View Solar Eclipse After Practice, Belichick Not Impressed
Bob DeChiara - USA TODAY Sports
Despite the NFL’s regular season kickoff closing in at three weekends away, football took a back seat to science on Monday as the first total solar eclipse occurred across parts to North America for the first time in 39 years. Of course, unless you are living under a rock or had no access to the internet, you already knew this.
What you might not have known, was that some of your favorite members of the New England Patriots took a serious fascination to the rare space phenomenon.
After practice on Monday, the Patriots team Twitter account shared photographs of Tom Brady and a few teammates taking some time to look up at the sky and witness the moons crossing in front of the sun first hand with their own pairs of special viewing glasses.

When asked about the eclipse, Mark Daniels of The Providence Journal stated Brady, “knew facts about the event and knew the exact time he wanted to be outside to see the moon get close to the center of the sun.”
Head Coach Bill Belichick also expressed his thoughts on the event in a way only he could, with a laugh and shrug included.

Of course, whats an eclipse without a few more 28-3 jokes?
