Patriots Player Departure Meyers to LV Raiders

Here comes the spin doctors justifying BB's horrible move. Meyers got exactly what some of us myself included thought he was worth $11Mill. So you get rid of your Struggling QB best target Bravo. Bottom line we should and could have kept him.
What…? I feel like you’re arguing against a different point than the one I made.

he wont stay healthy...never has. I really liked him coming out of college but its easy to see that he cant be trusted to stay healthy
There's an interesting theory being floated around: Josh wants "his guys" so it's out with Carr and Waller, in with Jimmy G and Meyers.

Oh fer fux sake. Do they start playing tomorrow? In that case, we need to get that third shift custodian in the weight room, he looks like he could be a player. The write up on him isn't great tho: tight hips and useless until his third Red Bull.

Guess Meyers won't know what it's like to have Waller on the same offense:

All they got from the Giants was a 3rd rounder.

Guess Josh just isn't a fan?

Smart move by Josh. Waller hasn't been "Waller" in 2 years and was grossly overpaid.

The Office Thank You GIF

It's just those with an axe to grind against either team or the commonwealth. Low key hoping to turn it into a political argument.
I thought it was OK to come here and rail against this state? Is that a sub-forum thread somewhere?

totally understandable. I thought Waller was a really good TE and they only got a 3rd for him...shows you what i know. If i were a coach, i would want as many as "my guys" as possible so there is a level of comfort with that.

Thornton is the same exact size as Jameson Williams, only now he's bigger and has more experience.
My God, Jameson Williams? I would trade Thornton and our 2023 1st round pick for Jameson.

Marcus Jones is also a dynamic athlete, he looks like Tyreek with the ball in his hands.
Ok, Marcus Jones looked good on those 78 receiving yards but you're comparing him to one of the very best WRs in the NFL who had 1700 receiving yards this past season. I don't think the comp works.

I mean you're really in fantasy land if you're trying to convince yourself that the Patriots may have the equivalent of Tyreek Hill and Jameson Williams in Marcus Jones and Tyquan Thornton.

Demanding to know what “ the plan” is before the new league year even begins strikes me as idiotic. We can evaluate “ the plan” after they show us what it was, we shouldn’t expect them to telegraph it. This is not a free agency class that you should jump into immediately and throw money around. In fact it appears to be one of the worst free agent classes we have seen in years,
I don’t think the plan is basically just this year. I think Kyed, at least the way I see it, is asking what he plan/general direction is for the franchise overall the last few years. These hasnt seemed To be a clear direction. We decided to try and get by in 2020 instead of ripping the bandaid off. Then in 2021 we went crazy in free agency and took advantage of a soft schedule to make the playoffs. I took 2021 has Bill wanting to reload over rebuild by bringing in free agents with a ”win now” approach instead of continuing to build through the draft. Then last year Bill decided to bring any progress to screeching halt with the Patricia experiment resulting in a lost year. Now we let our only consistent offensive player go with a contract we easily could have matched/beat. Overall we just seem to be straddling the rebuild/win now line and getting mediocre results.

I'm from NH. Lived there from age 6 - 24. I want to go back desperately.

Kraft should move ops to NH and attract free agents. :p
The locals say I'm a newcomer, and I moved here in 1991...

Yeah, that's a new guy. My neighbor moved in in 1997. I still consider him a NYer.

They just gave him a 51 mill extension with 19 mill guaranteed, are it and gave his money to Jakobi Meyers. Poor Josh

McD loading up in LV...if Jimmy G can stay healthy, they'll have a really good offense.
Umm he just gave away waller

I don't want to call any names but where are the people who thought Meyers was worth 15-17 mill the market price?? They are probably hiding absurd.

Accurate, sadly.

Hell, my folks moved up there in 1978, still in the same damn house and are still not considered "townies". However, if I stayed there I would be considered one.

None of us are NFL GMs. Looks like a market correction to me.

Good year to Tripple Dip @WR.
