I agree. But the original poster noted that the Packers and Vikings have a wealth of good OLmen, so these guys are good even though they are underutilized. I am not sure. Maybe better depth than Cajuste?

Either way BB seems to respect the need for a solid LT, so I assume we will draft a LT at #14 or after a slight trade down.
We need LT, CB, WR, and S

I agree that our first rounder (after a trade up or down) probably the best place to secure a LT, even if it is an "overdraft" like Strange was.

My strong hope is that we re-sign Jones and Peppers, both of whom want to come back.

I think there's a good chance it's Lazard. I don't think Bill will pull the trigger on Hopkins and I'm not convinced Juedy is even available for a trade.
I've mentioned that as well that lazard could be a potential target. Well I believe he knows full well his team needs game changers or at least guys that can make DCs have to account for.. Hopkins can work if wich at this stage in his career would be willing to restructure. The mutual interest is there is all about making it work. Juedy like Ramsey and Hopkins are all under contractor for now until they are made available for trade possibilities...

Yeah, but there's the question of if Hopkins will work with BoB.

You're right about the others being under contract, but it seems pretty clear Ramsey is available for trade but Higgins is not. I doubt Juedy is, but Payton may not have made up his mind yet.

What do we think the chances are that Algohor is brought back on a reduced contract?

In think D Slayton would be similar to Meyers here and much cheaper decent player.
Darius Slayton ran a 4.3 at the combine, he was drafted by a dumpster fire of a team. I like Meyers like the brother I never had, but Slayton can do more than move the chains. He can take the top off a defense and you might be able to get him on a reasonable deal. His production has been commensurate with the horrible passing on the Giants his entire career. It’s not his fault Daniel’s Jones and the offense around him was bad, he might be a diamond in the rough. He did well in a horrible situation.

Lol that's a good one too funny... of that group do you feel Myers will be back?
If Meyers gets a contract anywhere near what Christian Kirk got he’s gone, and the Pats would be fools to match that for a possession receiver.

Beyond that Randy Moss looked like crap with Andrew Walters trying to throw to him behind the worst OLine in the league in 2006. Weapons can’t throw to themselves, they don’t play in a vacuum.

I expect everyone except Agholor and possibly Meyers back. I also think Thornton and Marcus Jones will make leaps in development. Beyond that unless a great trade opportunity arises for a Deandre Hopkins or Brandin Cooks type, they’ll draft another WR or two, bring in some UDFA’s or value vets.

WR’s can be found everywhere, there’s no shortage of 6 foot athletes. 320 pound athletes are harder to find.

My 2 cents .. invest in upple middle tier OLine in both draft and FA . Hopefully coaching improves and we become top 10 OLine. With an additional half second Mac should be able to do well .

We just need some luck so that Meyers market is stuck at 11 -12 million so that we can resign him . His presence is vital for Mac. If not, we just need to hope for a rebirth from both Thornton and Jonnu . If Meyers is gone , I don't see Henry being cut or traded away .

If T brown is less motivated then we should just cut him and sign a player with more upside . Maybe J Taylor?

As for stud WRs let's pump the brakes for this year . I think we have a decent core and if we have more time through decent offensive line play, the receivers will start looking like studs .

For this year, let's not trade any assets for wide receivers. If we need to trade it should be 3rd rounder or below and definitely not first 2 rounders. I like Campbell and Slayton as Meyers replacement . Expect a bigger step from Bourne this year as it's his contract year . So he could be Mac's safety valve. Parker was improving as season went . The interceptions dropped and big time catches increased. With some decent playcalling Jonnu should be able to hit 500 yard 4 TD season which would be huge for this offense and open up Thornton for 1 on 1 matchups . If he improves his catch % we should be able to reduce the number of drives we take to the end zone.

Last year was a big cluster chaos... Catastrophic to everyone on offensive line. Let's not use that to gauge the team . We have a playmaker in Stevenson and untapped potential in slot with Marcus. Let's place some belief on coaching and the residual talent before we go outside.

If we don't fix coaching and offensive line, no external WR talent can help us.
Unfortunately I don't think Myers will be receiving the 11/12 million range. I've made mention that he may find his value greater here than elsewhere.. now there will be suitors I'm sure.. but he's a guy that the team should want to retain..

Agree.. draft gorilla sized Linemen with decent agility and build depth so that our QB can be in pocket significantly longer. This would elevate both QBs and WRs.

I am okay if we draft 2 olinemen in first 3 rounds. We might start slow but slowly start to perform better when the OLine gels together.

If everything falls through, I’m willing to give Trent Brown another shot at RT next year. Last year was just a ****show from top to bottom. Maybe Klein can get more out of him. Maybe, maybe not.

I'm with that plan as well.. only thing is who plays LT? Reportedly wynn and brown we're not happy with thier position switch... more like coaching switch lol

A lot has to fall through on free agency and draft before I'm okay with this.

Agree. However, as much as I like McGlinchey or Taylor, other teams will outbid us. Im looking for a LT prospect in the draft. Not getting one in free agency.

As it's been mentioned 300 plus pound OL men aren't just sitting around like WRs can be found.. I'm fine with getting a tackle with # 14

I want two OTs in the draft and some kind of vet in FA. I'm not convinced I'll get that, but it's my preference.

Eww Lazard without Rodgers has me thinking more Sanu than a legit 1.

I would trade a second plus for for Jeudy.
My biggest concern of a Jeudy trade not happening is a jilted Matt Patricia sticking it to us.
That can be said for a lot of WRs without elite QBs.. is Patricia with the Denver Broncos organization? I don't think he can stick it to us anymore than 17 games of it..

I look at the top 2 or 3 CBs in this draft and think, well, you won't find anyone like that later on.

Whereas the top tackles are Paris Johnson and Broderick Jones. But you could do just as well with Darnell Wright, Dawand Jones, Matt Bergeron, etc.

As for WRs, the only one that "looks" different than the others is Quentin Johnson, but he isn't being considered at the top as of now. Whether you take Josh Downs or JSN, I don't think you can make a case that there's a big divide.

This is why you have to hope our CB target is there, because we can take a tackle in the 2nd.

Payton said Patricia and him are in talks of him joining that organization in some fashion and his quote was he wouldn’t rule it out it’s a good chance he said.

I’m warming up to Paris Campbell on the Pats, essentially a speedier Bourne who runs crisper routes.

In that case I would trade down or trade for Higgins.

Maybe there is a QB there that someone wants to come back up and grab.

If we don't re-sign Jones, I agree.
