I trust the Athletic more in this. Word is by multiple sources that Seahawk players didn't like Wilson and he was a diva. And we are hearing similar things in Denver with him having his own private office and parking spot at the building that pissed off his teammates.

And of course Wilson is going to deny it because it makes him look like one of the biggest a-hole in NFL history.

Yup, sunk cost fallacy. Dropping Wilson right now would be the GM basically firing himself. Payton SHOULD get more out of him than Hackett did, but hard to believe it'll be enough to make that deal worth it in the end. Wilson has a lot of work to do to win back that locker room, IMO.
