Curious to see if anyone in here was as bitter as I was after the Patriots got knocked out of the playoffs and didn't bother watching the Super Bowl. We had a couple where we went out to dinner and the restaurants were essentially empty, which was sort of crazy but my family and I actually had a decent time on the times where we ended up doing that.

I didn't watch either of the Super Bowls following the losses to Manning in the AFC Championship games (both with Indianapolis and with Denver). And I skipped the one after the AFC Championship loss to Baltimore. Losing to Manning was irritating because that was right at the height of Brady/Manning and seeing Manning potentially go on to win was something I didn't want to spend time witnessing.

So I'm curious to hear if anyone else if I'm the only one who has skipped any of the games the Patriots weren't in for similar reasons.

Watched my first SB in 86/87 just before I turned 8 and have not missed one since.

Don't think I skipped any since I started watching football religiously, but I definitely allowed myself to double book for the ones Peyton played in.

Don't think I've ever skipped in my adult life. Definitely lose interest when it's not the Pats, which lets be honest, we've been ridiculously spoiled here that last couple decades. But to make up for that lack of interest I do like to have a wager or two on the game for fun. This year I have a hundo on some various prop bets so that should be fun. Go NOT Pat Mahomes!

I definitely tuned totally out of Denver - Atlanta in the late 90s. Can remember going to a party and maybe glancing at the TV once.

Last year's was one of the worst Super Bowls of the last 25-30 years. Ineptitude, flag football tackling, it was an embarrassment.

I'm going to need a ruling from the East German judge on the definition of 'skipped' in this context.
We always have the SB on, there have been a few times when it was mostly because my wife wanted to watch the commercials. I will neither confirm nor deny whether or not they may have coincided with Paid-a-ton being involved

Just the opposite. I watched the Manning Super Bowls, hoping see him lose. The pick 6 vs N.O. and the Seattle beatdown that started with snap for a safety was very enjoyable as a Pats fan.. MAybe I'm terrible but there was a lot of schadenfreude.

From the time I started following the Patriots, I would only watch if the team I wanted to lose was getting blown out or was on the verge of losing (I'd keep track of the score just in case that situation manifested). Anything before that wasn't even on my radar.

Ravens vs. 49ers for obvious reasons. That has been the only one. Will be passing on this year’s game as well.

The Harbowl media coverage was vomit-inducing so that was an easy pass for me

Living life! Awesome.
I drove to everyone without a ticket.

I've been to Phoenix twice. In 2007, I Met NEM, the Krafts and Andre Tippett at the Arizona fan club. At the media hotel I met Matt Hasselback - good guy and was 10 feet from Don Schula - axxhole. Schula got me and the character that I was with 86ed from the media hotel. We just came back in though another door.

The character that I was with was from Boston and his Father was on the Red Sox ground crew. I didn't know him from Adam until he started talking to me. One of those did not know a stranger type guys. He knew everyone and eventually got me a ticket. He met a nice couple from Baltimore and the husband worked for ESPN and had to cover the game at the last minute. I bought a $700 ticket for $1000. 50 yard line on the 3rd level but in that stadium it was almost like the 2nd level. Great seat and I sat next to his wife who was an angel.

I had a bet in Vegas that the Pats would be World Champs. IIRC, it was $3000 to win because I always placed Pat's bets in September at the highest odds. My plan was to drive over the Hoover dam to Nevada and collect my winnings and drive home.
