Never watched Purdy before. Not impressed. Brady in San Fran would be dangerous. Not sure about the 49ers cap situation, but that team with Brady would best the Eagles.

Only seven games into his career, Brady didn't look all that impressive either. He didn't win two playoff games then either.

Not that it really mattered but #86 was brain dead on that last drive. They should make him take the bus home

Purdy wasn't great today, but when was the last time a rookie QB led his team to the NFCCG?

Brady was 11-3 as a starter during the regular season in a league where defenses could murder the QB and the receivers all while throwing to Troy Brown, David Patten, JR Redmon and Jermain Wiggins and then he did what he did in the playoffs.

He was carried the entire 2001 season

Bengals play KC well and Mabomeboy is injured

Right but I'm playing the odds that they aren't gonna win 5 times in 12 months.

It's a coin flip imo.

However I think people are sleeping on Niners if they think Eagles gonna cake walk on them. Cmac should open the field up.

I watched those games back then, and was on the social media of the day, and Brady was not an instant GOAT. More often than not he was referred to as a game manager, a dink and dunk guy. I think early Brady and Purdy have some things in common: quick decision making, confidence in their ability to see the field, and room to grow.

The original statement was that Purdy was not impressive. Everyone has their opinion, and in my opinion a guy who was drafted last in the draft, didn't have a 'red shirt' year like Brady, got thrown into a game when the starter was injured so had no real prep, won that game, now has won seven straight with two in the playoffs, is an impressive player.

I'm pretty confident Purdy will be SF's starter next season, barring unexpected injuries.
