Report: Mac was reaching out to other coaches about his frustrations with the offense

Seeing Daniel Jones growth in his 4th year and seeing what good coaching can do to a decent QB, Kraft and belichick would probably be a bit more optimistic about Mac Jones chances.

Build the team around his strengths and pay him in 25 -30 million a year range and we have a decent QB who can play decently provided we have playmakers. Just noticed that 49ers have 5 all pros while we have 1 special teamer .

Hoping we hit the draft outta the park this year as well and remove some overpaid players with lesser mortals with more upside to get them some game time experience . If we can trade Henry , Jonnu and just have say 7-10 million if dead cap and use those savings on DeAndre Hopkins and sign a veteran blocking TE while drafting a receiving TE from a deep TE class , we should be able to really make a play . Sign Meyers at 10- 11 million else next man up .

Bourne + Hopkins + Parker + Rham + Marcus Jones should be a great combo.

Why didnt all these people come out and defend your boy Corky?

Staying silent is a choice.

Because rational people didn‘t give a crap that Trent Brown liked a post. I am guessing the players didn’t want to give the lunatic fringe any attention.

Judon was telling the truth.

But youre right, it is a big laugh.

Yes, because it was a blizzard, Mac Jones only passed three times. That is the truth.

I read that as Brown wanting Brady back. That's extremely unlikely to happen but who wouldn't?

The real question is where Trent Brown will be playing next year. Maybe he wants Brady back because he expects to be signed by the Jets after the Pats cut him and he thinks Brady is done.

That may be true, except D Jones is taller, bigger, faster, more athletic and has a cannon for an arm.

Nor should they. Patricia lost the locker room in Detroit and ran the team into the ground. The lions look alot better without him this year.

And judge had the giants looking like one of the worst teams in the league last year with Daniel Jones looking like a bum. Now they just won a playoff game and people are saying Daniel Jones finally got it! Yeah what he finally got was good coaching.

And bill had these two buffoons who ran their teams into the ground coaching our offense.

There's no reason Mac Jones and this offense couldn't turn around away from judge just like the Giants did.

Agree with everything... Just please, do Not use any more Mike Greenbarf tweets... He is the living embodiment of All that is rotten with the Big Rotten Apple.

Judon is another. Marcus Jones. Onwenu.

I just hate Tavai.
Tavai absolutely sucked in Detroit. Became the most popular whipping boy — after Patricia.

But Mayo raised his play up, up, up, until he’s not terrible any more.

He still kinda sucks, but unfortunately it appeared that neither Wilson's nor McMillan's play on the field, however much that was, demanded that either of them be worthy of more snaps themselves... Unless it was a 3rd/4th-down & Short situation, I would've preferred Phillips & Peppers on the field instead of Jalopy.

Actually, rational people who watched the games this year don’t give a crap about Trent Brown. And all his penalties. if He wants to like something, how about less false starts.
he can go pound Sand.

I don't think its a generation thing. I'd reckon Rodgers and Peyton would NOT have gotten along with Bill.

I believe it's a status thing. Mac is a first round pick, as where Brady was a 6th round pick, so he had to be a bit more subservient

I think this is accurate. The reason the Belichick/ Brady combination worked so well was because Belichick wanted a QB who would always make the right decision with the ball, and Brady recognized that immediately and knew that was the way to take Bledsoe’s job away from him. Because both were only about winning, and Brady wasn’t just running the offense, he was controlling game management, which is why they were almost unbeatable when ahead going into the 3rd quarter, but also the most dangerous team when they were behind. So the offense wasn’t just about scoring points as fast as possible, like Manning, but in sync with the defensive game plan as well as the situations they were in. It was a perfect alignment, and they were the most successful franchise in NFL history for twenty years. I’m grateful for it, it was fun, but it’s unrealistic to expect that again. More championships, sure, but not total dominance in a league designed to blunt that.

For maybe all but 3 or 4 unicorn quarterbacks in the league I think offensive system and legitimate weapons/playmakers is the key to success.

Now clearly Mac isn’t one of the unicorns so he needs an adequate offensive system and playmakers to succeed.

My issue with the “Mac isn’t the guy” takes is the patriots don’t currently have a functional NFL system or above average weapons to succeed. And I believe with most of the quarterbacks in this league (even some good veteran qbs) we would have seen very similar results this year.

If they get a legitimate offensive coordinator next year and some receivers who strike even an ounce of fear in a defense, and Mac struggles again then I’ll admit it’s time to move on.
"Reaching out?" Sounds like a sweet song lyrc? # 7th inning stretch.
Truth be told he was cowardly, went behind his HC's back to complain.

Tavai is fine. Core ST. Plays about 1/2 the defensive snaps.

What i've noticed this year is he's playing faster and his instincts have improved.

Anyone who wouldn’t complain about that offense is a moron
There's complaining to the right people and there's whining to the wrong people.

Saw people saying that at the beginning of the year, don’t see how people can say that after how he finished. Not great, not terrible. Solid player and he definitely surprised me. Glad they had him.
Gets exposed in coverage. Need to do better if we ever want to be a contender.

Both he and Bentley would be fine reserves, but should not starters. As we've seen the last few seasons, you can make it work with less talent going against putrid competition, but then their lack of talent gets exposed against competent teams.
