Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Vegas, Tampa, Tennessee, SF (maybe), Miami, and a couple other locations all make sense for one reason or another.
Where would you like him to go?

Where would you like him to go?

Pretty much anywhere he chooses should be an interesting spot:

Tampa and Tennessee = "Can he reverse the declines?"
Miami = "Can he get them to take the next step"
SF = "Can he get them over the hump?" (assuming they don't win it all, of course)

There are others that I could see and appreciate, for various reasons, and one place that would be interesting but is not going to happen because of the optics (Indy).

Where would you like him to go?
1. San Francisco
2. Miami
3. LVR

I have all three of those pretty close. LVR being the mostly likely to be available for Brady.

4. New Orleans
5. Detroit

Both are extremely remote but would be great landing spots.

I don't like Tampa Bay or Tennessee and nor do I think Brady would go to either.

Maybe Indianapolis is a possibility.

I don't think there are many other teams on the radar at this point.

The Raiders are a very interesting team/situation! They're pretty loaded from top to bottom offensively! It's the other side of the ball that needs to be fixed!

Mark Davis would build a statue of him right outside the stadium to get him to play. They have NOTHING at QB. NOTHING. The Raiders are absolutely there IF he wants it. And considering Staley seems to be staying in LA and Payton isn't going to Denver maybe the division won't be as tough if they can just take 1/2 against the Chiefs.

People think an athlete like Brady is looking and saying oh the division is tough lmao he wouldn’t be where he is if he did. That division is KC that’s it SD isn’t elite and denver have Russ and Vegas went 3-3 in the division and lost to KC by 1 point when they were semi healthy

Also for the people that swear raiders defense is so bad or they’d struggle to make the playoffs 7 of 10 losses were by 7 points or less. That’s gonna go the other way just by switching Brady for Carr let alone adding Gronk and helping with the defense

Raiders defense was 32nd in takeaways. That's a really bad stat to be last.

The only way I'd like to see him return to TB is if he's been injured this year and the injury will heal. Otherwise, I'm not buying that TB is just a few players and a few less injuries away from returning to contention. Clearly based on this season, TB is not the right fit for Brady anymore, unless he just wants to play without caring about competing for a title.

Where's the Titans? They need a QB upgrade.

Yeah Tampa could be his best landing spot still with the importance of his kids.

The line should be a lot better with a healthy Jensen, Wirfs, and Leverett they need to start White and Gage/Evans needs to get their heads out there ass. Hopefully Gronk can come back to help as well and they actually need to hit on draft picks this year

Not worried to much on the offense with a competent OC, a average running game(not even elite just average) and some Oline fix I think they'll be fine if he comes back. They do need to improve their pass rush

1. New HC.
2. New OC.
3. New LT.
4. Gronk returns / upgrade at TE.
5. More speed at WR.
6. Improved running game.

Too much needs to change for it to be worth it for Brady.

They need a lot more than a QB upgrade. Lost their last 7 games. Their WRs are terrible. Not much there for Brady to be excited about. Henry's big frame will be breaking down soon as well.

1 doesn't seem like it'll happen. 2 will almost definitely happen and 6 wouldn't be too difficult. 4 would obviously depend on Gronk. 3 is a tough one unless Trent Brown wants to be with Brady again (he did like a tweet about that this year...) and he doesn't eat himself out of the league.

I don't see 5 being a problem, the receiver issues have not been about speed. Being unable to scheme ANYTHING that gives them openings is the issue.

In terms of winning a Super Bowl the path of least resistance is on the Bucs playing the NFC South, AFC South, and NFC North next year. That's a joke schedule. But if Brady can't motivate himself to actually put in the effort with the Bucs for whatever reason then it doesn't matter.

Pickings for Tom are slim. In 2020, there were 4-5 teams that were fairly loaded waiting for a good QB (including the Saints, who thought Brees was gone.). IMO, best options are:

1. SF (but they might not want him)
2. Miami
3. New England
4. Retire
5. Tampa Bay (won’t be good for his legacy)
6. Las Vegas (will be worse for his legacy)
