NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION 2022 NFL Playoff Monday - Wild Card Round - Cow Patties vs the Avocados

Hilarious. Yea, if you remove any elite team's best tackle, TE, WR and RB... they're going to go 9-7 or 10-6 at best. You could apply this dumb hypothetical to any top flight team in NFL history.

So you admit that it was the combination of Brady, Gronk, Brown, Fournette, and Wirfs that was key to their super bowl run? Thanks.

Really they should have been in the no huddle from the start of the game. Again, like has been the case for the entire season, it's the only time they looked competent last night. Brady just needs to GTF out of Tampa Bay at this point. It's run it's course and if they're truly bringing back Bowles then it's a no-brainer for him to go elsewhere or retire.
Why would you expect anything different? Except for the Bengals game where they looked great, they always start off the same way and continue that until half time. Other than the Bengals game and maybe 1 or 2 other games, they've ended the half with like 7 points or less.

In week one the Bucs, with the same O-Line, came out and rushed the ball for 152 yards against these same Cowboys and beat them handily.
Well, Leonard Fornette now runs like an 80-year-old, so that’s a small difference

It's a team game, players play, coaches coach... and no team can afford to be outright bad in any of these areas.
Everyone knows it's a team game. It's a given. And obviously being "outright bad" in any significant area in going to heavily work against the team. If the example here is Bowles crippled Tampa Bay's chances for success, while fine, that's probably true, but they had many other problems too. But we're talking about probably the worst head coach in the NFL so it's an extreme example.

You seem to want to divide everything into neat equitable parts of a team. I don't see it that way at all. There are obvious degrees of importance and impact. Some players, units and positions are more important than others. Some players may even be more important than any coach. Your elite quarterbacks in the NFL are the most important person to their franchise. Brady has been the most important person to his team for the majority of his career if not the entirety of it.

I can admit it was a mistake to have Patrica run the offense and have, it doesn't make BB any less of a football genius.
If you're accurately keeping score then it does.

Yeah, he lost his talent.

It wasn't that the team philosophy changed when the head coach was unceremoniously fired.

I actually hope Brady retires. I admit I have only watched about four or five of his games this year, but every time I watched him he seems to be in clear decline He still is an above average QB, but he is nowhere close to what he was. He plays awful at times and elite others which is the characteristics of a player who age is catching up to him.

My fear is that he will be like many other QBs that the year after they show significant decline that they totally hit the age wall hard. I really don't want him to be like Marino was his final two years or even Manning his last year (yes the Broncos won the Super Bowl, but despite of him).

What's your point?
You implied BB was "less than" because of the Patricia snafu.

Seems you have a double standard about who has to be prefect and who is allowed to make mistakes.

Bucs With Arians:
11-5 Super Bowl
13-4 Lost divisional round due to Bowles screw up

Bucs Without Arians:
8-9 in the weakest division and conference in football and get dusted in round one.
Brady the GM and the argument that QB's = instant success gets knocked down a peg.

Somewhere Bruce is laughing his azz off.

Why would I or anyone need to "admit" that in order to win a Super Bowl, you need a collection of great players? You're getting desperate and embarrassing. That applies to every championship team in sports. Once again, you've got nothing on Brady and have to maliciously spin very obvious things to chip away at his accomplishments.

Listening to fans reduce a sport with 63 man rosters, a horde of coaches, trainers and scouts down to "QB's are magical unicorns" argument is like listening to a child speak about Santa Claus.

Because too many fans give the QB position way too much credit for success and failure.

I literally used the Jags as an example of why coaching matters a minute ago... somebody responded with Trevor Lawrence is amazing... lol. The guy passed for 280 yards and 4 INT's a day ago. The Jags won that game because the team around him carried his butt until he removed his head from it long enough to win... oh yeah, and because the Chargers coaching staff are morons. Not because he is some magical creature that makes all things possible.

Aaron Rogers didn't even make the playoffs, nor did a host of other great or good QB's. Meanwhile the 277th player in the NFL draft QB is still playing.

2020 was the most talented team Brady ever had. No surprise he won the SB that year.

He's a top 3 QB of all time. As I said before, he's more Lebron than MJ. Lebron has been playing for over 20 years and will collect a lot of records along the way, just like Brady is doing now. And just like Lebron, and not like MJ, Brady has multiple super bowl wins and multiple super bowl losses. MJ won 6 out of 6 Finals MVP awards, Brady won 5 of 7.

"Top 3 of all time" and "more LeBron than MJ" are just bitter, delusional backhanded compliments. Quit embarrassing yourself. It's not even worth entertaining such nonsense.

Coaches pick and develop the players... they don't appear out of thin air like Excaliber from the mists.

A bad coach can make a stacked team lose. It takes a team.
OK possibly, but a great coach can not make an untalented team look good (reference 2022 Patriots)

The sarcasm here is lost on me if you’re suggesting that running backs skills don’t decline over time

Brady never should have gotten Arians fired, he was clearly the brains of that outfit. They refused to run the ball in 2022 when that’s what propelled them to a ring in 2020. They looked like an offense run by their QB and a former QB at offensive coordinator. Pass, pass, pass… great way to go 8-10 on the season.

Stop blaming the talent around him, it was almost the same exact team that could have won a ring last season when Todd Bowles played press coverage in the final seconds. Coaching matters, all players need coaching… even the greatest of all time.

First Godwin isn’t Godwin, who knows what happened to Evans and the oline was hurt next Brady didn’t get anyone fired
