I have not been commenting on this board much this year, and part of that has to due with our own fan base. I find it amazing how delusional have allowed d ourselves to become. Many of us are like the fans we use to laugh at who talked about contending/beating us when we were in our heyday with Brady/BB. It just never happened and we wondered how these fans could not see how middling their team was. That's our fan base right now. A lot of people here probably simply don't want to believe it. But at this point after this season i think I'll be able to post here more and not worry about getting shot down for being rightly critical.

Fan is short for fanatic. I mean rooting for and being delusional about the middling Sox and Pats for decades before their aughts championships was part of the experience.
