Really, the only dumber display of defense I can recall is how defenses across the league would play against the the 2017-18 Rams offense. They would play Nickel & just naively line up in a 4 man D-line. Which was laughable...because anyone who watched that Rams team knew that Cooper Kupp and the TE would always double team the DE on run plays & this would create a 5-on-3 mismatch for the rest of the Rams O-line vs vs the remaining D-line. It, laughably, took defenses 2 seasons to simply figure out that you cannot use a 4-man D-line against the Rams.

This is who Trevor Lawrence is to me. He is not hard to figure out. Just take away what he does best. Don't play soft coverage. That's all. He has no change-up. He has no other card up he sleeve. He is a one-trick pony. We know this now. We've now seen how he reacts to press coverage taking away his short passes. i.e. there is no reaction...he's just going to keep doing the same thing. Just don't chicken out like the Chargers did.
you are nuts Nostradumbazz..this take is so simplistic it almost defies belief

LOL, I'm sure you would've said the same thing about the 2018 LA Rams. That's was the most one-dimensional offense I've ever seen.

All it took was creating a 6-man-Dline will a Nickel-Safety to the weak side and the SAM to the strong side (i.e. Chung and Van Noy on the LOS). Fangio did it first, then Belichick, then everyone in 2019.

But I must be imagining that too...

Guys, it's no joke. "Just take away what they do best." It is the truth. Trevor is a one-dimensional QB. It's not that complicated.

WTF are you babbling about? the 2018 Rams?? Because their offense then the Jags offense today? Huh? Must be smoking the good shyt...happy dreams, stoner. Look, Pederson had a game plan...the kid in his first playoff game carried out Pederson's calls...the Jags win in dramatic comeback fashion and YOU dismiss it all and mock this kid because "2018 Rams!!!!".Nah, you've got a hidden bias for some reason...SEC hater or something?....or (shudder) a green Wacky Zacky lover?

As I said before, the Jaguars offense reminds me of the 2018 Rams because they are laughably one-dimensional; albeit in different ways. The point being...just take away what they do best.

Also, why would an "SEC hater" have a issue an issue with Lawrence? He didn't play in the SEC, lol. Maybe you are the one smoking-up.

my mistake...you're an SEC lover...got it...forgive me for not paying attention to southern football biases...must have really gone up your azz when the Tigers won it all in 2019 with a FRESHMAN named Lawrence in 2019..."just another 2018 Rams nobody!!!!" you bleated like a stuck Razorback. Well Bunky...you're wearing your azz for a hat right now...come back next week AFTER you predict the Jax offense for THAT game...see ya then. "laughably one dimensional"...LMAO

Um, this is a New England Patriots forum...I don't think anyone here has a "southern football bias," lol.

Also, yes, Trevor Lawrence is very one-dimensional QB. We saw the Chargers take away the short passing game, it worked just fine. Then they stopped, and Trevor dinked his way back into it.

Dinked? Really? Trash take is trash take

"dinked" his way back into it? so you DIDN'T watch the second half then...hmm..interdasting...and as far as not having a bias? right...never seen any posts here about the one dimensional crudbag Lamar and his "greatness!!!!!"...oh wait....the avalanche of shyt never stops..and now YOU are pushing this "one dimensional POS" theory for a 2nd year player actually playing in his FIRST real NFL system and winning a playoff game...but yeah, you're not biased...nah...you and Crawhammer should get together and brainstorm a "Lamar the Multidimensional Superest Gaa Gaa Goony Star vs. One Dimensional Jag Bust QB" thread. Pure genius!

Seriously, go watch the highlights. It was all dink and dunk.

I mean unless you count the total coverage breakdown on that 3rd TD.

Can't see how Staley survives this. Not after the questionable things he has done this season.

But Chargers ownership may be too cheap to go after Payton.

You f ucking wish, Maggot.

Tonight just another example why the NFL is the best league/sport in the USA.

Just imagine how good it could Really be if it weren't for the suits & skirts at 345Park attempting to engage in influence-peddling & outcome-fixing...

can’t wait for the Jags to roll over for golden boy while the Bills and Bengals have to slug it out

Sean Payton won’t help them.

The universe consists of order (good), chaos (evil), and Chargering.

yep  Chargers will forever be chokers

people forget Payton and Brees offenses consistently underperformed in the playoffs starting around 2013 compared to the regular season
