I feel the same way about Mac after the game as before. Because of the abysmal coaching this year, Mac has been so handicapped that we know nothing more about him at the end of the year than we did at the beginning. That puts us a year behind in developing/evaluating him. That's unfortunate, but it's not Mac's fault; it's Bill's. We'll have to wait until next year to find out what he is. Saying that he is "elite" at this point is childish.
This season has been wacky. As bad as the Pats have looked a lot of the time and with as many gut wrenching losses as they've had, here we are going into the final week needing 1 win to get in. I get the concern over the future of the offense and all that, but purely as a fan of the team, this is an exciting scenario.

Imagine how much The coaches have to despise bourne to let someone who not only is largely ineffective, but was the cause of 3 turnovers in a 5 game span play over him
The name Cam Achord needs to be spoken more when discussing what holds this team back. The weekly special teams blunders are inexcusable for a team that puts such a premium on having talented special teams players.

At that point you knew the Fins would score a TD, and it'd come down to 2 good plays to kick a FG to win it themselves.
Dumb decision absolutely. Very atypical for this head coach. The only thing I can think of is that he is trying to build mac’s confidence in terms of scoring offense and just in general. Otherwise, this is unfathomable.
