This is how Mac began his NFL career in start #3, crying on the bench after a loss.
A year later, in start #3, he's crying over an injury on his way to lockeroom.
A year ago, in start #9 after a strip sack, he does this.
A year later, in start #4 he does this.
Now, in start #12 after another strip sack he does this.

This man is not emotionally mature and is going to get his head knocked off if he keeps up this bush league level of play. It's embarrassing but you guys continue to make excuses.
Every week, sometimes daily, you scrounge up another reason to belittle and condemn Mac Jones. Today he's a dirty player and emotionally immature. Last week it was because he misses open receivers. Before that it was for calling out the OC, bad mechanics, poor pocket presence, no arm strength, terrible decision making, too many interceptions, too few touchdown passes, being timid -- on and on and on.
You actually hate the kid, there is no denying it. You don't want him to succeed as the Patriots' starting quarterback, that is clear. Originally it was because he isn't Bailey Zappe. Lately, it's because you simply detest Mac and have decided to criticize his play in a vacuum vs. through false comparisons -- cobbling together PFF stats, this reason, that reason, etc., etc. -- whatever serves The Agenda.
Your ongoing problem, Veneclown, is being unaware of how little you really know. Ian, myself and others have patiently attempted to enlighten you on quarterback performance drawing largely from a team-oriented mosaic of coaching, offensive line play, receiver route running, scheme, play design and situational variables a la score/time/field position/down and distance. BB's terrible decision to put Matt Patricia and Joe Judge in charge of the offense skewed all for the worse. Yet presented with this obvious fact you dismiss it as "excuse-making" for what you believe is Mac's incompetence as an individual player.
No, Mac Jones has not performed well this season; he has regressed. How much of this is his fault? Probably some but not much. As a rookie, he led New England to the playoffs as the NFL's 13th-ranked passer in a top-10 offense. With two games to go he is ranked 19th among quarterbacks on an offense ranked 24th in yards gained. Ask yourself what has changed.
Personally, I am not invested in Mac as the Patriots' starter now or going forward; I don't care who plays behind center as long as it leads to wins. But I also am aware he was dealt a raw deal this season making it impossible to assess his true potential. Because of that he deserves the benefit of a doubt.
You have resorted to calling me "tool" for these observations. But adopting a shaky premise and continually doubling down on it with even shakier conjecture just makes you look like ... well, the clown that you are.
