It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I like the description Veneclown, I was thinking Vitriol for quite a while now but Veneclown is quite accurate also.Aw, poor Veneclown. Did the big meanie interrupt your Anti-Mac Jones *********** Club meeting again? Since you can't resist going there, let's talk "douche," shall we? It's only appropriate for a guy who took his screen name from a line of feminine hygiene products.
Jones is a hot head and poor sport thus the McEnroe comparison. To extrapolate those qualities as you do here to the quality of his play is a mistake. McEnroe was renowned for his play under pressure and ability to win key points in his matches. He's not a mean guy. Just losses his ish and makes dumb decisions in some high leverage situations. Sudden pressure, decision making at times/ball security at times. The plays that are going around show that frustration that comes out in the moment. Saban talked about it during the draft process and nicknamed him "John McEnroe."
The frustration, mechanics, relationship with pressure, off platform throws vs pressure. All these things predate fat Matt Putan - Patricia.

This is how Mac began his NFL career in start #3, crying on the bench after a loss.
A year later, in start #3, he's crying over an injury on his way to lockeroom.
A year ago, in start #9 after a strip sack, he does this.
A year later, in start #4 he does this.
Now, in start #12 after another strip sack he does this.
Toolscribe's reaction:
This man is not emotionally mature and is going to get his head knocked off if he keeps up this bush league level of play. It's embarrassing but you guys continue to make excuses.
I wasn't saying McEnroe = bad under pressure or equating the two. Just like i wasnt saying McEnroe has bad mechanics bc Mac does. The McEnroe stuff is obviously the hot headed impulsive reactions, red in the face stuff.Jones is a hot head and poor sport thus the McEnroe comparison. No, that's a you problem lol.One problem you have
Where you place value on prospects matters, a lot. If you can't place a value on a prospect before the draft you're not very good at this.as the resident “draft expert” is you often feel the need to justify your ratings as if any of us care about your ratings. I really like the information and informed opinions you provide come draft season on prospects, but I don’t care whether you saw someone as a “1st rounder or “high 2nd rounder” two years later. I really don’t.
Ignorance of the rules is not a defense and absurd to use that for a player when part of their job is to know the rules.Stupid? Yes
Dirty? No
He is ignorant of the rules.
Did not mean it means zero once he becomes a repeat offender. That's the answer of all dirty plays too.Mac's explanation. He didn't mean it.
"I went down in front of him to kind of get in the way to stop him from slowing down Tyquan, who obviously could make the tackle there," he said on WEEI. "So just kind of went down in front of him, trying to stop a fast guy from getting to another fast guy.
"It's a split-second decision and there's a lot that goes into it. You're out there trying to compete, it's a physical game. So just trying to help the team win.
"I have all the respect for Eli and the Bengals. They played a great game. So, there's no hard feelings and definitely no intention to hurt anybody on that play. Nor do I believe that when I'm playing quarterback, that's what [the defense is intending to do]; I get hit a lot, too. We're all out there playing hard. It's just part of the game."
This was a dirty play. The difference is Brady did this 2 or 3 times in 20+ years and first time I saw him do this was way into his 30s.
The Twittersphere as well as Eli Apple yesterday calling Mac dirty. This guy even put together a compilation.
I'm sure Mac did not know the rule. Why would he?Ignorance of the rules is not a defense and absurd to use that for a player when part of their job is to know the rules.
Once or twice, you can say it's a fluke or just trying hard to make a play. But that argument goes out the window when he keeps repeating an action his fellow players universally think of as dirty/unfair. At that point intent goes out the window and it's all about results and perception.
If he does not cut it out, he will suffer for it. Ryan Clark said as a defensive player, the unwritten rules for a QB get thrown out if he is perceived as dirty.
Brady also did a couple of crackback blocks, for which he was penalized. This was a dirty play. The difference is Brady did this 2 or 3 times in 20+ years and first time I saw him do this was way into his 30s.
Mac has done it 4 or 5 times in less than 2 years.
Why are you sure?I'm sure Mac did not know the rule.
Why wouldn't he know? Why would he?
The point is he is believable if it's once. He keeps repeating it and his reasons become irrelevant. Perception becomes reality and then retaliation followsI'm sure Mac did not know the rule. Why would he?
His explanation makes perfect sense. Yes you should block the guy trying to run down the only guy that has a chance. The idea I've heard from some people today, you should only go after the player with the ball, that's absurd. His thinking was sound. He broke a rule. So he deserves the punishment.
It's not the same penalty. I'm sure he won't do it again. The point is he is believable if it's once. He keeps repeating it and his reasons become irrelevant. Perception becomes reality and then retaliation follows
