I’m having a hard time being excited about the future…

Bill is not dumb. If this keeps up, fat Matt will be nowhere near the offense next year. He's actually probably already seen enough. He just simply will not make a mid-season staff change.

Bill is too hands off this year. Personally, I think he's just giving Patricia, Judge, and his sons more playcalling experience as he gets ready for retirement. No other explanation makes sense. Bill had the opportunity to stop that disasterous play from happening by telling Patricia over the headset to just take a knee. He's was around when Pisarcik fumbled against the Eagles and should know better.

I share your optimism. Only thing is.. will Kraft be as open to spend like 2021? As you mentioned before defense has some great foundation pieces, MLB, CB are draft needs along with a game changing WR, im not giving up on Thornton his acclimation to the NFL has been affected by the barnum and Bailey offense as well.

I ask, because the free agents we signed aside from judon and HH, have not worked. I feel as though Jonathan Kraft will have alot of say this off-season season as well. He makes alot of the teams decisions obviously.

Id imagine so, this team always spends right up to the cap and we are well under

Mills Judon Have been our best Free agent signings.

Bourne is cheap so whoever the OC is he should at least be at camp.
I’m my mind it’s Thornton and a whole bunch of new guys.

All set with Jimmy glass, he's the Anthony davis of the NFL.
Street clothes Jimmy G is fragile but I would still roll the dice I don't like the alternative.

Bingo

I think he was hands-off last year as well. Past two years this team has played dumb and horrible at situational football.

Kinder, gentler BB is not working.

I hope the Team who signs Meyers in FA read the label buyer beware of Patriots' home bred WR's.

No argument on that, HH in a functional offense was a top ten tight end last season, a huge red zone target. He wasn't even being involved until last few games. Mills is solid, but just like in Philly he can't stay healthy. The Jonnu Smith contract they are stuck with, as u said it's Thornton and hopefully a game breaker!

…as long as the fat slob is calling plays for the offense.

And unfortunately, I get the feeling Bill won’t be able to have the heart to demote his good buddy. We’re stuck as long as Bill’s here.
Do you think Bill cares less about winning than he does hurting his friend's feelings? I don't. The reporting on this team since Bill got here has indicated that Bill takes everyone to task in the film room, from Brady all the way down to the last man. I don't think he would stick with Patricia when it was obvious it wasn't working. Frankly I think Patricia was the back up plan for an OC that came to fruition after Obrien leaving Alabama fell through.

I just can't imagine Bill sticking with Matt P. when it is obvious that he's done a bad job. Sticking with him in season vs the offseason is a huge difference.

Just take a deep breath and remember the historic 20 year run. Makes me feel better all the time. As far as the future, its our turn to wait and watch them figure out the mess. How long it will take? Who knows?

I think Meyers mistake last night probably cost him some money in free agency and made it more likely he re-signs at a reasonable rate. Any fan base would probably be livid if their GM signed Meyers to a big contract since Meyers will be most known for the play last night and having an extremely long touchdownless streak to start his career.

You are near midfield and your opponent has been making stupid penalties all day long.

If you don't want to try a hail Mary, I am not against running Mondre on a simple draw and hope that a dumb Raider grabs a facemask or makes a horsecollar tackle. Not likely, I know, but the odds are probably a little better than that of completing the Hail Mary.

The future isn't bright, but we are lucky we've seen a freak 20 year run of dominance. Seriously, it's unprecedented. All good things come to an end and it seems like that time is running out with Bill. His connections have run dry and no coordinators are going to line up to work with him (especially now). Regardless, if they were to win the next 3 straight or not, the team needs help personnel wise and in coaching so I'd want a solid plan from Bill going forward. If he can't provide it, the Krafts need to cut the cord now.
