if people think that relying on a physically limited qb to tackle a 250lb DE one to one is the reason we lost that game and are pinning it on that rather than the multitude of ****s ups leading up to it then that is crazy. Sure if he makes that tackle its OT but any tema that is putting Mac in that position to tie a game to go to OT is not going far. That situtation should never ever happen.
Look, if you get overly sentimental with players you lose in the long term. There's a reason the Pats didn't win jack with the GOAT for 10 years after the 2004 Super Bowl.
This isn't about sentiment. It's about keeping the best players, not the coach's favorites. And Bill has dumped many top players who contributed to SB wins and has replaced very few of them adequately.
At the time that Bill traded Richard Seymour there were plenty of fans who didn't support that move. Maybe that was part of the reason they didn't win again until 2014, even with the GOAT at QB. I think Ty Law also felt like he was being jerked around back then.
Ok... Let's call spade a spade Mac Jones looked all world last year as a Rookie. But I noticed a pattern that carried over into this year. The Mac Jones lead Patriots only win against Teams who are decimated by key injuries. We Stink against Teams at full strength. BB are you noticing a pattern? You have no Chance with Mac Jones against the Bengals - Dolphins and Bills. Those Teams ain't blowing any leads against us because they will have it wire to wire. I am happy that this delusion with Mac Jones is over let's just jockey for Draft position. Whiney Mac Jones cannot be fixed he's broken like humpty dumpty. I'm out drop the Mike!

It was September 6, 2009 – the last Sunday without football. Perfect day. I was walking with a bucket of baseballs in my hand and my three sons in front of me. We were going to hit. And then we weren’t. My cell phone rang. The Patriots had traded Richard Seymour to the Raiders. “Are you s*******...

They had no chance before the season even started. You have the AFC Champs, the Bills who are miles ahead of you on the road and a much improved Phins team. It was always going to be a hard road even if Mac made some progression this year.
He won the National Championship with Bama. And he was slated as a high to mid 1st round pick. If you want to blame anyone for his regression, blame Bill. He said to do so himself.
Mac lacks in so many areas do you really think that’s all on coaches?
Zip
Arm strength
Field vision
Reads
Pocket movement
Mechanics/footwork
These are all areas where mac needs to improve or he needs to see the bench
Mac can not make a throw when the receiver runs a route towards the sideline
He apparently worked with Tom house in the offseason but I wonder on what they worked because he hasn’t improved anything
Pats were 24-17 up with around a minute left. Raiders had gained less than 40 yards on their last six possessions. They had 4th and 10. Horrible defence, passive coaching, corrupt officiating and then the motherload of all brain farts saw us ship 13 points in 30 seconds. But sure, let's just forget all that and instead focus on Mac Jones inability to take Chandler Jones to the woodshed.
Mac have his share of picks he also have his embarrassing share of pictures on his you know what on BSPN. Not a good look for a so called strating QB who should be Bench!

This is a weird phenomenon. We were all in on blaming Patricia (and by extension BB) for the regression but now were settling in Sour Grapes territory? Give me a freaking break. Everyone (even you, I bet) were ecstatic when they drafted Mac.
Now everyone's like "Oh, he was never good to begin with". GTF out of here!

I wasn’t ecstatic if you know my post history in the draft forum
Mac was the qb i least wanted for us months before the draft
Maybe you should take a break and rewatch some throws
Can’t blame Patricia for an outside throw landing in the gras after 5 air yards

You think the guys blaming all on Patricia are better? You Must have missed the Open receivers Mac was Not able to see or hit yesterday, so I think mac deserves a fair share of the blame as well
If you think he deserves no blame you haven’t watched the games

We are going QB in FA 2023 Jimmy G is definitely coming back home or the game has passed father time BB by. Mac Jones is the Chad Pennington of the Division you are not going very far with that guy.
If so then why make the assumption to me being ecstatic about mac?

Mac deserves blame, absolutely. He missed open throws in the game. But the reason they lost was because the offense thought they had to do something extra because consciously or unconsciously they had no faith in their team in overtime. During the dynasty era, no one would have thought to throw two backwards passes on the last play of a tie game in regulation.

I wasn't one of the fans complaining about the Seymour trade but I remember that there were. My memory from that time was that I thought we were going to get at least a top ten pick for him or even a top five. But the Raiduhs improved with Seymour and got to around .500.

These sequence was the offense in a nutshell
In every game some unit on the offense is doing dumb mistakes
Sometimes the qb, OC, the o-line not blocking free runners, the wr drops or fumbling, dumb penalties etc. This offense is just a big mistake
Veterans who are the second year in the organization look worse than last year etc
If so then why make the assumption to me being ecstatic about mac?

I am sure we remember pass number one to Jonnu Smith it was almost picked off. IF Mac Jones was on any another Team would there be any questions that he Stinks as a Starting QB? But there's hope because he's on the Patriots. Well my head is not in the sand. Re-watching Three Games to Glory oh the good old days I tell ya.
