If Bill took half this accountability for his offensive coaching hires then maybe we wouldn't all feel so bleak about what we're watching.

so easy to say . ruined the game for eveyron else
I think Myers expends all his thought power on catching the ball. After that, his brain turns off. What did Meyers think Jones was going to do with the ball even if he had caught it?
Is it possible Meyers played hero ball because he didn't trust the offense to score anyways in OT?
I feel bad for him .
When people say "Mac sucks bring in Zappe", it's code for "the team isn't doing well and I don't know football enough to see everything wrong with the team, so I'm going to blame the QB and pretend the other guy is a savior".Bringing up Zappe no matter the situation shows that you can only hold one thought in your head at a time. Every ****ing time anything goes poorly people are on here posting about Zappe, it’s so annoying. You saw Zappe in two and a half games, the Pats had been scouting Zappe and Mac for years and also watch them practice everyday in closed sessions you have no way of seeing. Thinking that you can obviously see something the organization, or scouts at every level with a million times more information disagree with and then repeating it over and over is troll behavior.
I can already tell, with this loss this generation of patriots players especially free agents, I'm sure they are going to be making business decisions for thier bodies... seasons over.. the unfair thing about the NFL is titans have the same record as us and they are in the playoffs..Given their play at least in the 1st half, and the game-ending fiasco, it would not be unreasonable to say the Pats, to a considerable degree, lost on merit. "We wuz robbed" doesn't really cover it.
This is so strange. For 20 years we have (rightfully) praised Belichick for putting his players in the best position to succeed. To coach them to have awareness in any situation. To play SMART football. That was as dumb as it gets. And your take is the coaches don't have anything to do with it.What do you want the coaches to do to prevent a play like that?
AgreedThis ending sucks right now but will be good for the long term future of the Patriots this team currently is going nowhere and this team needs 7-10 and a humiliating ending there's no way we can risk running this disfunction back.
There’s a few on defense I’d keep but offensively i agree.Outside of Stevenson, I think everyone and every position needs to be in play this off-season.
Stevenson made a horrible decision not to just go down....and then Myers on top of that made an even stupider decision.

If they improvised, then the coaches should cut them. I don't care who they are. Unless you are an All Pro, you don't get to make that mistake. But I don't really believe they improvised.I doubt a lateral was called. Stevenson improvised and Jakobi followed suit.
Bump. They had the ball was just a little over 2 minutes to play. Raiders out of time outs. One first down made, you win the game. But they refuse to pass. they go 3 and out, Raiders tie the game on a BS call then the punt **** show. But make one first down on your last posession, none of the other stuff happens. Conservative playcalling has cost them all season.
Hard to post when people like you talk nonsense.Score more points in the game? The great defense might stop the last drive,?
whatttt
The qb played badly. I would say that has "something" to do with losing a game.
