Apparently, yes. When Stafford and Kupp was healthy, his offense was worse than Patricia's.

After Belichick depants'd him in the '19 Super Bowl, he lucked into a SB win in one of the worst Super Bowls I ever watched, against one of the worst opponents of the last decade outside of Cam Newton's Panthers.

If you think Sean McVay is a bad coach then I don't know what to tell you. He took two different QB's to a Super Bowl and one of them was Jared Goff.

Goff is in the top half of QBs in this league. That team, BTW, scored 3 points in the Super Bowl, the lowest point total ever. Last year, they were inept once again in the SB, and only won because the team they played wasn't up to the task and really shouldn't have even been there. Look at all the talent on that team, and it boggles the mind that they were playing so badly WHEN the players on offense were healthy.

Id consider 2020 more of a transition year than a rebuild year. We essentially transitioned away from Brady as our QB for 20+ years with no backup plan, and did a ton of roster moves to clean up our dead cap, etc for 2021

the true rebuild started in 2021 and we're now in year 2 of that. I stated before the season started that I would give Belichick 5 years to turn them back into a contender, so he has 3 years left in my book

This season also isn't over... I don't expect them to do anything, but at least there is still a chance.. the Giants won the SB going 9-7 as a middling team, just need to make it into the dance and anything can happen

Thanks for helping to prove my point, that a team can win a SB with a bad coach as long as they have players. This year, the same SB winning team and coach are losers because they lost players. We see that played out each and every season. The best players win, not the best coaches.

That's saying something, becuase our offense save for a few occasional deep passes is pretty hard to watch. As the NFL has shown us without premiere talent you can't win..

But Bill the GM has been giving Bill the HC bad players for a while now (the last two draft look promising, though).

With Groh involved as well. I have to say the draft picks have really showed up this season in particular. It's odd though, we have so many players with the same last names! The remainder of this season to me is all about the rookies playing more and gaining experience. I don't feel we'll make the playoffs. Next season judon, wise and uche bringing heat, hopefully a healthy barmore. I'd absolutely love to try to acquire pat Surtain ll from Denver.

His first year as a head coach he took a team that went 9-7 or 7-9 every year for seemingly forever under Jeff Fisher and went 11-5. The next year he went 13-3 and went to the Super Bowl followed by a bit of a dip then another playoff team and a Super Bowl championship. This is going to be his only losing season as a head coach. I honestly can think of too many other coaches, if any, I would want instead of McVay.

Yes, absolutely right! It was just so odd I don't think I've ever seen this on a teams roster. However Mondays game pretty much gave me solace. That even though a win, we are likely not to make the playoffs. However the future of the team was on display.

I have also come to the realization that, Yes playcalling is a major issue However the O line play is the most glaring issue.

You can tell that BB is just riding out the season. He's well aware of what changes need to be made. But I'm sure ownership has to feel the teams gone backwards.

I think he's unprepared and coasting on the most talent in the entire NFL.

The thing that bugs me about him more than anything is that 2x he's gone to the Super Bowl and both times not only were his QBs underwhelming after they racked up high stats playing crud defenses, but his all world defenses played patty-cake. They don't hit, they don't wrap up, and it's all the players. I blame a coach who doesn't pay attention to detail. It's no shock at all to me that they suck this year.

This is the 2x he'll miss the playoffs coming off the Super Bowl. He's had 3 great seasons, the 1st one, and the 3 Super Bowl years. But his teams constantly underperform.

And then I see the talent there: Matthew Stafford, Cam Akers, Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham, Van Jefferson, Tyler Higbee, Aaron Donald, Leonard Floyd, Von Miller, Jaelen Ramsey. The team had 9 Pro Bowlers. Arguably got lucky even getting by Tampa when Tampas' DC had a brainfart

They still had the best players this year. And it got them a 3-6 record before Stafford and Kupp went out. Donald is still there.

We lost our best players. But they were all old and at the end of the line. we needed to rebuild, obviously. I don't think people understand we lost 15 of our top players, and they were old, with the exception of Thuney, Elandon Roberts and Trey Flowers. Everyone else aged out. White, Brady, Cannon, Gronk, Bennett, Edelman, Amendola, Hightower, Gilmore, Chung, Jason McCourty. That's 14 players GONE!!!
