MNF 12/12 Pre-game thread: Pats @ Arizona

It would be nice to have Barmore back for this one. I think people are sleeping on Arizona having their top three receivers on the field for the first time this season. Hopkins has been ripping it up since returning from suspension, Marquise Brown is having his most productive season, and Rondale Moore (still questionable) had really emerged just prior to getting injured. Looks like Dortch will be available too and he has sneaky good potential. Arizona's defense is really bad so I think this could be a game where the Patriots comfortably approach 30. I'm a bit worried about Arizona's offense hitting their ceiling. Murray is also a very good running quarterback, which can give our defense fits.

Hopkins is a older #1 type WR who can still beat you all over the field. Rookie Jack Jones should not be singled up on a crafty vet like him. I have not been impressed with our D the last two weeks. D plays bad = two loses.

One thing that is glaring with this Wac Jones lead Patriots Offense fall a score or two behind and it's game over. This Team plays good with the lead and horrible without it. Against Arizona and the Raiders getting the lead is imperative: if we fall behind them it will be two more loses. Murray and Carr are light years better than Wac Jones.

Thought BB was tight lipped on such things.

Red zone offense is 31st

Yeah, I said that we have the worst RZ scoring offense in the league (tied for 31st as it were). There's much more to offense than just the Red Zone part of it, and overall, even with RZ futility factored in, the Pats are a bad offense, but not the worst in the league, not by a long shot actually.

if he's not willing to accept Major, Significant organizational changes, then ownership has no choice but to fire him.
No. Bill must OFFER “major, significant organizational changes” or be fired. It does no good to compel change on him; he must admit what he did with his coaching staff failed and offer a remedy. If not, Kraft should show him the door.

What are the factual facts behind your post "Murray and Carr are light years better than Wac Jones."?
They both have better stats. Based on opinion, both are better quarterbacks than Mac as well. But in fairness to Mac he's been in the NFL a shorter time and he was dealt a far less competent OC than Murray or Carr (who happens to have Mac's rookie season OC). Carr also this season at least has the best WR in Adams. And Murray has Hopkins who is no slouch. Light years better is probably overstating it but Mac isn't in the same class as Murray or Carr (at least not yet). I'll add that Murray's potential and probable ceiling are higher than Mac's (and Carr's).

Agreed. There are no facts to support "light years", that was my point.

Murray's potential is to be injured and out of the league in 5 years. Not much of a ceiling to me. He is way too small.

It will be interesting if Mac can outplay Murray and Carr. We will see.

Which 2 QBs have the highest completion % over the last 5 games?

celtics in AZ this week too lol

Some say the Cards are a crappy 4 - 8 team, but that's only 2 more losses than the Pats. The Cards played the Eagles tough losing 17 - 20 and they just lost to the Chargers 24 - 25. Im not looking forward to facing the 4th rushing QB this season ( Jackson - L, Fields - L and Allen - L ), but Murray has fumbled 8 times to date. Make no mistake, Murray is a competent passer with a very decent array of weapons.
