He’s 25% ahead of the next coach (Pete Carrol) in all North American sports. With the way things are going you gotta wonder if the Krafts will be happy to shell out another $60m or so just to see Belichick break Shula’s record.

Here is the list

You guys who are ready to move on are in for a nasty surprise when he retires (hopefully a few years down the line).

He deserves to be the highest paid coach, especially considering he is also the GM.

I think people are prepared for it. I dint think anyone is going to be shocked if the next HC isn't that great or has growing pains. Or it could work out great like on the Giants this year.

I think we've seen that for every one time that it works out, there are 15- 25 times that it doesn't.

Meanwhile, though Bills fans like McDermott a lot, they like the GM even more, and they question McDermott's propensity for coaching blunders at the most crucial moments of big games.

Well deserved. More championships the last two decades THAN any other “MAJOR” professional sports team.

Florio brought up a fascinating observation on Curran's podcast. He said the Patriots won't have to fire BB if they decide to move on. In fact if that happens and BB wants to keep coaching then they would just have to advertise to teams that Bill is available. Teams who feel they're just a coach away would be interested in bringing him in. He says they would agree to take on that $20M+ and they'd also offer a first rounder plus for BB if he's available. Never thought of it that way.

Would the Patriots trade BB if there was a taker and we were offered a first round pick or more?

one losing season and one 6-6 season we want to move on. The supposedly hot ticket sean payton won 1 SB with brees and more than a few below 500 seasons.

PFT keeps throwing stories. Sadly a lot of coaches get fired nowadays due to the media questioning and pummelling for optics and these guys are instrumental in getting people fired along with their own performance.
It amazes me how the biggest story of every season is "will X guy be fired" this season.

its 1 yr for the giants. Wait till their staff gets raided, their players go elsewhere and they pick high in the draft.
its unreal how the pats have stayed afloat in the salary cap era.

And how about this to add some spice.... Can you imagine one team in particular who engages the Patriots in trade talks involving BB because they feel they're only a coach away...the Buccaneers. o_O I'd buy that storyline on PPV. Lol

i watched curran's podcast .boy its classic boston sports radio watch.Only in boston we discuss this stuff.

There's precedent. Pete was fired here after an 8-8 season because his team was trending in the wrong direction.
He did not have 20 yrs of success behind him and also kraft coveted BB who he realized was available. its not the same situation IMO.
