I think we all want to see some changes on offense. If you were in charge, what would you do right now?

I realistically don't think they're going to do any of these until the offseason (I think it's too hard to find the new coaches now but they could at least let Caley call the plays), but then I'm hopeful they get a new OC, an OL coach and a QB coach. I think they'll let Zappe compete for the starting QB job in training camp.

Most of the above, with a focus on a new OC and an actual o-line coach as well as better OL personnel…
So, in the offseason or try to hire new coaches now?

They won't do anything major right now in terms of coaching staff or roster.

I'd say open up the playbook. I don't see how we gain anything from dinking and dunking down the field (or across the field might be more accurate) for another 5 games. No reason to be conservative when you're likely out of the playoff race and we gain nothing in terms of evaluating Mac; we know he can complete a 3 yard dumpoff by now. If he starts heaving picks again, so be it.

No to playing Zappe as that means you are giving up on your 1st round pick in Jones. We don't want the Pats to follow what the Jets are doing.

Bill may start calling the offense.

According to players, there's no such thing as "tanking" as they are playing for their jobs.

Wait until the offseason to hire a new OC, QB and OL coach.

The good news is they will be ready to hire folks at the end of the regular season

offseason...it's too late now. let's see who the good coaches that will be available in a few months. I guessing BOB and maybe even McD

Too late to tank, they already have 6 wins.

Changes will be made at the end of the season.

They can go 6-11 and get a top 10 pick

the biggest, most glaring issue is the OL......whether that is due to personnel, injuries, coaching or a combination......nothing it getting better until the OL improves

we aren't going to find NFL starter-worthy upgrades at this point of the season......i don't think coaching is the only or even the biggest issue with this group.......although it may be part of it

you do what you can do to not get anyone's career ended, either through seeing ghost or getting hammered.......so far Mac has handled all of this year's adversity remarkably well.......and you do what needs to be done in the offseason, between FA, draft, coaching additions, coaching subtractions

nothing matters until that front is better

Although he sucks as the de facto OC it’s not Patricia’s fault, Belichick put him in the position and this is all on Belichick. Significant changes need to be made, especially to the coaching staff.

If they finished this season on an 0-7 slide after the miserable 1-4 finish to last season, then Belichick would have to go. Retire, retreat to the front office, be fired... just not the HC anymore.

Fix the staff in the offseason. If the chance of a qb upgrade presents itself make the move. If not let Jones and Zappe battle it out for QB1 next camp.

I dunno. I said a few years ago Bill should be given 4-5 years to turn things around and I think he's owed at least that. If the same result happens next year then yeah it's probably time for him to retire.

Getting rid of Patricia & Judge is priority number one. If Bill and/or the Kraft’s are unwilling to fire them then at least send them back to coaching defense and ST where they belong.

Fire Patricia and hire Frank Reich as OC immediately.
Move Judge to special teams coordinator.
Cut Ferentz
Sign Melvin Gordon from Chiefs practice squad
Start using 2 TE's consistently and increase targets significantly

Thanks for your input, always insightful and upbeat.

agree with this 100%. All the blame on Patricia is misplaced. BB made the decision to hire him and to have him as play caller and Judge as QB coach. The lions share of blame should be on Bill. He even said its on him.
I doubt Robert Kraft has the fortitude to fire him. I would not rule out BB retiring this year or next. Not sure passing Shula is truly his motivation.
