I disagree 100% with this. Give me Theilein and Hockenson any day. Up here in Buffalo they want to get rid of Gabe Davis because he only runs 3 routes. Very down on him.

33 receptions on 60 targets
Maybe but Davis is #23 in yards w/ 5 TDs. That's better than any of our receivers and he's their #2. Hell, even McKenzie has 4 TDs which is more than any of our receivers (Meyers w/ 3).

Bill's have a #1 WR in Diggs who will get his like Jefferson. And a legitimate #2 WR In Gabe Davis who's better than any Patriots WR Meyers included. Yeah that Gabe Davis torched KC for 200 in the playoffs.
but it mckenzie who torched us repeatedly last yr

I don't have time to go ciphering through posts but some folks were posting "FOLK!" that seems pretty satisfied with a FG....
I think as fans we would have wanted td's but were happy at least that Folk has been consistent for us.

That would be Josh Allen, that averages 51 y/g which is more than all our RBs except Rham. He has 5 rushing TDs, more than any of our RBs. We have to account for his rushing.
Agree and that's where we've struggled, with mobile qb's. We've improved dramatically in stopping opposing teams running backs, but have struggled against the likes of Jackson, Fields and Allen. That's an area where hopefully Dugger can be a factor.

Ok that's clearer he played lights out when it counted last year.

Of course he did. Didn't say he didn't. Let's see if he can again. The entire Bills team brought it to the next level last year.

The problem is it is hard for teams to be inconsistent during the regular season and then turn it on in the playoffs year after year like the Bills will have to if they want to go deep in the playoffs this season.

You beat good teams with TEAM play. Exhibit A: Patriots 10, Jete 3. It will be a stiff test for him but Mac is not on trial Thursday night vs. Buffalo to "prove he belongs as a starter" in the NFL. In your weird little mind, perhaps. As you proclaimed weeks ago, "Mac Jones is not my quarterback."
You of all people calling the Jete a good team is hilarious. Are the Jete the only team with a winning record the Pats have beat? Is that why you're calling them a good team?

Interesting. You would have thought that 10 year olds in the 1950s would be more fit, given that the lack of TVs and computers would force them to be more active outside. That doesn't appear to be the case here.

Luckily, you got your sh!t together later on in life and became a gym rat to shed that thick, oily, layer of fat.

It may simply be that we don't have a "talented" receiver that can make those tight window catches consistently, like a Jefferson, Chase, etc. That would limit the plays to those where receivers are open. Parker was supposed to be that guy, but he just isn't.
Why not start throwing into tight windows yesterday before drafting the next Randy Moss?

What happens when the other defense takes Randy Moss away? You still have the NE WRs that everyone claims are no good. Patriot WRs are singled covered with a step on their guy. Thats open in the NFL. So, throw the ball in that window.

No, he's not.
If XBOX is right then the Pats will win and Jones will be the reason why.

Right? Its QB vs QB. After its all said and done lets compare numbers.

8/11 games this season Pats have more penalty yardage than their opponent. Absolutely cannot do that Thursday night.

You obviously missed the point of my post so I'll spell it out for you (it's very simple): It was in response to another poster's assertion that quarterback play is how you beat good teams. I countered that claim via illustration of how TEAM play -- sometimes through defense, sometimes through special teams -- can spell victory; in other words, fortunes don't always hinge solely on quarterback performance. Ergo, the example of New England's 10-3 win vs. New Jersey.

I've noticed you frequently call points of fact "hilarious." I can't help you with that, perhaps someone else can. As an organization the Jete suck yet occasionally field a good team, if you read the Jets Suck thread you'd know this. But you've gone out of your way to disparage that as well, something else I can't help you with.

The current list of sick players:

"Five Bills players did not practice Monday due to illness, according to the team’s injury report: safeties Damar Hamlin and Jaquan Johnson, cornerback Dane Jackson, wide receiver Khalil Shakir and tight end Quintin Morris."

However, it's Monday - by Thursday, most of those players will probably be feeling a lot better. But they'll likely be infecting other players who will just start to be feeling pretty bad right around then.

Some of the Pats are likely to catch that bug themselves, but they'll have a mini-bye after Thursday to get over it.

Is Covid no longer distinguished the NFL, or does it all fall under the "illness" catch-all? Assuming this is garden-variety flu/cold stuff, I'd assume it won't affect players' availability for Thursday.

Not just that, but Mac is simply a better QB at this point in the season than Josh Allen.

Over his last 4 games, he has had a QB rating of, 79.9, 89.2, 104.6, 119.8.

Josh Allen's QB rating over the last 4 games: 46.8, 78.6, 100.4, 80.8.

They've had two common opponents, but Mac has faced tougher defenses overall while playing hurt.

Not that this should be surprising. Josh Allen is an overrated QB.
I agree with this 100%. Furthermore, Zappe is > than Mac, who is >> than Allen, so Zappe is >>> than Allen. Pats have two QBs better than Allen. We can't lose.

The Bills players should stay home, hydrate and take their vitamins. I rash of gameday illnesses is one thing that could derail them.

Oddly Buffalo has looked like a different team since their big win at KC and the bye. Allen's game has really gone in the toilet (by his standards) with 9 turnovers in the last 5 games. He'll really need to keep that up for the Patriots to have a realistic chance in this one. Any advantage for Buffalo in the turnover battle will completely doom the Patriots chances.

There aren't any big names there. Hopefully it spreads. Maybe they got fed some shyt tacos in DET.

We're 1-0 when wearing our throwbacks this year! Let's go undefeated in the throwbacks and maybe they'll come back permanently!

We should wear the throwbacks (or a revolutionary new matte blue version) permanently, the 2000-2019 unis as the new throwbacks, and permanently sh!t-can the Pajaminals they've been wearing for the past 3 years.
