Mac really showed he doesn't have a noodle in this game. He can sling it with some velocity when he sets his feet and has some time. Very encouraged by his performance last night, and hopefully they continue to grow. Shore up the o line for next year and get a high level playmaker.

i know the flavor for some fans is to blame the refs on that Henry play as to why we lost, yes It was b.s. That was a TD. I thought once you break the plain all bets are off, but anyways.

The real blame is the special teams and our defense. If they did their job in anyway last night, we win and not focusing too much on that Henry blown call.

also D. Harris seems to be always injured. I wonder if he makes it to his next contract with the pats or he is out of here..
Yep Harris always seems to have soft-tissue issues.

The man plays hard and takes a beating but he just isn't durable.

I saw him reach for the endzone, the ball hit the ground, and IMMEDIATELY become dislodged. If it hadn't become dislodged, then the ball would've been securely held by HH when he rolled over. But when he rolled over he clearly didn't have possession of it.

It's the same idea as this play:

You HAVE to survive the ground.

The hand under the ball did not move ON the ball. Henry had full control with that hand. That's catch every time... except for this game when the NYJFL refs get involved. The other hand did move but that is not the point. That was a catch. Now, if the league wanted to say that the bobble meant that he didn't have control until he hit the ground, then they still should have placed the ball on the 6 inch line.

Yes it was.

Corky soiled himself - again - during the 4th quarter and in the RZ - again… And also gave himself up ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS instead of trying to reach the line to gain OR NOT TAKE A ****ING SACK WHEN HE ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY COULD NOT TAKE ONE…. AGAIN!!!

I am so ****ing sick to ****ing death of this ****ing puzzie & his ****ing UN-****ING-QUALIFIED circus clown ****ing play-caller… Worst ****ing duo in the ENTIRE ****ING LEAGUE.

I like Tony Dingy but what was all that on the use of timeouts.

Him and Garrett must have had too much fruitcake. How does it matter whether BB calls 1 of his 2 timeouts on 1st down like Dingy said or 2nd down? BB only had 2 timeouts and 1 timeout is reserved for 3rd down.
I'd rather use the timeouts early in case you force a fumble on first or second down. I agreed with Dungy and Garrett, I didn't see a reason to let the clock run on first down.

Anyone slighting the defense can do one

Take out the rookie RB idiotically running into the kicker and the stuff that came after and they gave up 299 yards and 19 points on a short week on the road.

and even then on the stuff after they were like inches close. There's probably only a handful of other WRs that hold onto that ball where McCourty laid a hit on Jefferson and then an inch lower on that TD ball Mills has a PBU

I don't think the nfl purposely screwed us over last night, I just think they're grossly incompetent.

No its not.

Once tine ball touches the ground it cannot move around. The ground cannot cause the ball to move and that it what it did. Henry did not have firm possession through the entire catch when the play is blown dead.

Blaming the Refs is weak.
That’s don’t have incontrovertible visual evidence of that assertion. That means you haven’t met the NFL burden of proof for overturning a call. Plus, Henry secured control of the ball with his hands, extended the ball across the goal line before touching the ground. That’s a completion according to Rule 8, Article 1, Section 3.

3 momentum changers

1 Roughing the Kicker.
2 Pats just score a TD 23 - 16 and the Vikings return the KO for a TD 23 - 23.
3 Every Justin Jefferson reception.

Hunter survived the ground. He had his hand under the ball and was able to bring it in and secure it. That's was a catch. The ball can move and it can hit the ground as long as the ground doesn't assist the catch and as long as the receiver maintains possession in bounds. No, that was a piss poor ruling. That was a catch

It was indeed a catch.

It just Wasn’t a TD.

Simple.

Saw a video of Bill letting Strong have it on the sideline after he ran into the kicker.

Good. He should also let him have his unconditional release.

This is the 2nd week in a row we've run into the kicker.

If players are going to play dumb they shouldn't be on this team.

We are not talented enough to play stupid football.

who are the quality young players?
Players drafted in the last two years who have shown to be quality players so far:
Strange, Marcus Jones, Jack Jones, Zappe, Barmore, Rhamondre. I would also list Mac but I know some people would be upset by that.

Combine that with Dugger, Uche, Jennings and Onwenu making strides and the team has add building blocks through the draft the last 3 years.

Harris will mostly sign a 2 year 5 million contract with us and it will be a win win

Dude, you haven't been watching the games. They actually put Mac under center last night, ran play action and kept the defense on its heels. Mac's mechanics were much better, his accuracy and decision making was much better. He moved away from pressure while keeping his eyes downfield. He looked at the whole field. He even had a nice almost no look pass to Meyers I think.

These were all issues with Mac. Bad pocket presence, movement and decisions will make the line look much worse than it is.

I am a 28-year season ticket holder, I haven't been watching the games? In your eyes it's not that Mac showed what he can do with adequate protection, it's that he suddenly has morphed into doing things correctly making a bad OL look better than it is. Yeah, right.

"Look, folks, Mac Jones had an epiphany! Suddenly, he improved his mechanics, decision making and field vision!" Or perhaps he just took a Limitless pill last night.

I suspect you are the one who hasn't "been watching the games" because if you had, you'd know that what Mac exhibited vs. Minnesota he's done before in a Patriots uniform with good blocking and competent coaching. I also suspect that your apparent confusion over the difference between chickens and eggs is intentional, because your inherently foolish anti-Mac narrative has been laid bare. Just let it go and find a way to root for the guy.

Their argument seems to be that even if he had control of the ball when it touched the ground, if he lost it later it's an incomplete. That's absurd.
Well the rule says he has to regain control prior to the ball hitting the ground which he didn't since he lost control after the ball hit the ground, LAWYERED!

The only thing clear and obvious is the NFL decided the outcome based on what they wanted opposed to the rule and what actually happened.

Pretty much. But I would say more the 1st two. If we don't rough the kicker we have the ball back up 7. Instead it's a tie game. Same with the kickoff return. That's a momentum changer. Took all the pressure off of the Vikings.

Justin Jefferson you just have to tip your cap to. BUT it does highlight the talent discrepancy at receiver for both teams. In any got to have it play you have Jefferson making plays.

On the other end you have Agholor slowing down and letting a ball go right through his hands...

I think I'd rather pay the top tier receiver $20-25million rather than $30million for Jonnu smith/Agholor. But value!!!!

Secondary needs to be better than that a week from now that’s for sure.

If the Lip-Flapper & Myles of Space are playing next Thursday, then it won’t be.
