You gotta keep trying until you find one. Look at Arizona drafting Rosen and then Murray a year later. Not saying Murray is great but he was a huge upgrade.
In the case with Mac we’re going into a gun fight with a pea shooter. Not a recipe for success.
As for drafting I believe we have the scouting in place to find good day2/3 players if it’s the using a first rounder on another dartboard throw at qb you’re worried about.

I’m saying you have to keep trying until you land that qb (whether that’s the draft or FA). I would hope it doesn’t take 30 years. What we have currently isn’t even close to being good enough.
