Logic? Reason? Pshaw!

OK, Mr. Pshaw. Perhaps you can offer some logical reason why/where/how -- with 32 NFL teams halfway through the season -- there remains frontline talent available for immediate signing. Injury attrition is one reason teams resort to taking flyers on pizza deliverymen and raiding other teams' practice squads for roster backfill.

Uhhh, because I was agreeing with you that there wasn't and that the "all stars at every position" mantra is nothing but a false prayer.

OK, I thought you were taking me to task. Thanks for clarifying. :)

Reporter: Zach, you were pretty emotional when you came off the field against them a couple of weeks ago. How do you put those emotions, keep those emotions out of the way this game?

Wilson: “Right, I thought they were good emotions. I mean I was frustrated and I still believe nobody outside of this building knows what they’re talking about.”

Reporter: Oh, well I do.

Wilson: “Yeah? Why’d you turn down a coaching position?”

Reporter: Who told you that? Are you in a good head space right now?

Wilson: “Yeah, great head space, we’re winning football games, we’re where we want to be, and there’s still so much to improve on, so from a team aspect, we’re excited with where we’re at, and it’s going to be a great challenge for us.”

He's throwing 7 picks Sunday.

Happy Friday to everyone, getting you all set for today's activities:

Pats are running into stacked boxes at the sixth-highest rate in the league and averaging 2.6 yards per carry, the NFL’s sixth-lowest mark
the Patriots have attempted the second-fewest play-action passes in the league

A lot of things can start to fall right if the OL can coalesce in the second half. I'm sure part of their hesitancy to check out of run plays against stacked boxes is the sense that the protection won't hold up for a pass play with that many guys lurking around the LoS, and a blown up pass play is potentially more disastrous than a blown up run play (both from a turnover and injury perspective).

Get the line right. Whatever you have to do at this point, get it stable and adequate. Everything else is window dressing until that happens.

So theyre trotting out the same , if not worse, version of last meetings team. While we are adding barmore, dugger, andrews , and likely parker. Possibly missing j jones. Thats a major upgrade for us from last game
