Report: Brady and Gisele are Divorcing

Indeed. As far as we know, it was all fine through the NE days, and up to the Tampa SB season, and it seems from that point on it was all about her wanting more help raising the kids and him wanting to keep playing football. They made mutually supportive statements on their anniversary in February which was during the brief retirement period ( Tom Brady reveals ‘very difficult issue’ of retirement he and Gisele struggle with ). If there was tension then, neither would cop to it. Every source I've read said the sh!t hit the fan when he unilaterally decided to un-retire in March.
Or we could just believe Giselle’s statement that they have grown apart.

As was pointed out earlier in the thread, Tom has taken 3 L's in one week!
It boggles the mind why someone would seem to take joy in this

Often times 1 spouse is more disgruntled than the other.
Then an action/decision/event takes place that they use to demand a split.
I don't know ... just making a comment ... being apart and changing is difficult.
I wish them well ... tough for the children ... but tougher living with 2 parents who loathe each other.,

OMG. You really dropped the ball there. I think you meant Asian, especially considering that Tom is currently in Florida

Florida has plenty of Jewish girls … in their seventies.

Amen. What is even more funny is that the person who is taking joy out of this whole thing also wants you to believe he gives 2 sh*ts about how this will impact the children.

It could have been a W.
Gisele's no day at the beach.
That's actually one of the thoughts I had.... I know guys who would agree the day they got divorced was one of the biggest W's there is.

Zolak (who knows so much more about Brady then he lets on, I mean the man texts him personally) specifically said today point blank on the air that this was building up for years and if the unretirement was a “finale straw” it’s because it was already beyond saving and neither was happy at all anyway. As many have surmised including the super market tabloids going back to 2015.
Yup, Zo's exact words were "they've been at break point for years".

This doesn't surprise me. A 13 year marriage doesn't end in a few months. And it's easy to look at people through the lens we always see them in. We always we view Brady as a football player so obviously there is a desire to make this about football. But a relationship doesn't just end because a guy did one more year of a job he's been doing since the day they met. Maybe it's part of it, but it's probably just how they got a long and differing values and wants more than anything else. If it was just football and you both are rock solid, you are going to find a way to make it work (and it's something they have been making work since they started).

I get the sense Brady wouldn't have come out of retirement if it was as simple as "keeping my family together or playing this one more season". We are two months into the season. A divorce like this had to be months in the making. Years down the line when they talk about it, I wouldn't be surprised if he comes out and says that it was basically over and at that point he just wanted to come back and play football to get away from it all.

This is so sad. A divorce is never easy, it effects so many people. Hopefully they will maintain a loving co-parenting relationship and put the children first. I have seen so many ex's use the children as pawns, it's disgusting !! I really think they won't allow that to happen, they are two good people that just drifted apart.

Folks rarely mention TFB signing a $375 million 10 year contract as a colored person for Fox Sports. Per this contract he could be away for over 20 full weekends per year. A marriage deal breaker. So much for family time. Kids all in school so being home during the week is not as good as being home Saturday & Sunday with no classes. Gisele is not stupid and can do math. Possibly figured that even after "retirement" he would still not be present for half the year's weekends. Extinguished the post playing light at the end of the tunnel. Not good.
In my infinite wisdom (TM) were I Tommy Boy I'd have signed a smaller once a month color broadcaster contract.
Keep the brand fresh. Make some money. Stay in touch with football, yet have most weekends with the family.

Further info that the marriage has been on the rocks for years and it's not just because of Tom returning to football. Looks like Zo is right.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s marriage was on the rocks for years before they filed for divorce, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Sources close to the couple reveal the exes had attended couple’s therapy as a way to save their marriage.

“Things got so bad after Deflategate that they could barely speak to each other,” revealed an insider. “Tom got irritable under the stress, and she started blaming him for all their unhappiness, much of which was there before the scandal. Counseling was her ultimatum.”

In 2015, an insider spilled that, their therapist had been siding with Tom. “He’s been getting some much-needed vindication during this process,” the source said.
