Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

That’s an insane throw with pressure coming up the middle

Unfortunately, just as expected:

Patriots haven't lost to the Jets since 2015. Belichick's dinking around with the quarterbacks set the team up for failure against the Bears. He also didn't consider his son's defense getting blasted by Fields & Co. And the special teams got beat on literally every single play. Absolutely everything went wrong for the Patriots. Usually against the Jets they are the ones with a calamity of errors. The way to beat the Jets is to force the game into the hands of Wilson... teams haven't been able to do that with Hall running wild. The Patriots should be able to contain what's left of their running game and then sit back while Wilson makes a mess of himself.
I hope you're right.

Brady won’t go out with this being his last season because shi.t whats keeping him away now? But he’s absolutely bailing from Tampa.

LOL. DO you know how ridiculous that sounds. I told you after SEVEN! LOL.
Good call.
Brady has 7 and the Pats have 6.
There may be teams that win 6 or more in their history, but there's no way any other player gets to 7. The fact that Brady won't end his career here still bugs me. What an idiotic move it was to let Brady go.

He is only 500 yards away from 100,000 total yards. That is a monster stat!
The records that Brady will end up holding will be untouchable unless they keep adding games to the seasons and teams to the playoffs, which for $ome $trange rea$on may happen. Even with that it won't be easy.

At least Brady won't end up being another Vinatieri and spend more time in another uniform... maybe.

You can say that about probably 28 of the currently 32 starting QBs
Now that you mentioned it it got me to thinking. Is there any QB playing now who has more than one SB ring? Oh yeah, Brady, and I think there's only 4 QBs with one (Mahomes, Wilson, Stafford and Rodgers).

I was wondering the same thing just earlier this week.... and I realized, there is an active QB (besides Brady) with more than 1 ring... his name...?

Jimmy Garoppolo

Oh yeah, how could I forget him.

He'll go to the Raiders. McDaniels is there. Bachelor Tom will have fun living out in Vegas and Cali. Cutting Carr would only be a $5m cap hit.

Jacobs showing he's a beast in McDaniels system. Got Adams, Renfrow and Waller.

That team might actually be 6-0 with Brady as QB
Lost by 5 to the Chargers
Lost in OT to the Cardinals
Lost by 2 to the Titans
Lost by 1 to the Chiefs

Adams went to the Raiders BECAUSE of Carr though. So that might not go well.

He’s not gonna have a problem playing with Brady

Going to Vegas and playing vs KC/SD with Sean Peyton coaching I do but know about that. Now going to SF to pay with CMC/Deebo/Aiyuk/Kittle now that’s the making is something special

Tampa can still make the super bowl with a few fixes they’ll win the division regardless

1. Fire Leftwhich

2. Get a 3rd WR Julio is cooked and will never be healthy and it’s week 7 Gage isn’t healthy and he is what he is. Bring in Brandon Cooks he’d be a very good weapon wiith Evans/Godwin taking attention from him and if Gage gets back to 90% of last year than bam.

3. Get White more involved Lenny isn’t a workhorse and white is more explosive at this point you have nine games to get the kid playoff ready.

4. Hope Hicks stays healthy when he gets back that will help the defense get better as they are missing a big guy up front next to Vae

I think the defense will be fine Dean is playing at an elite level as we’re Davis/Winfield when they were healthy and Logan Ryan returning will be huge for that secondary the pass rush will suffer without Shaq though
They're better getting a TE, guard or a pass rusher now with Barrett done for the year. They can't dump more money into the WR position and Evans/Godwin is good enough. Perriman is ok, and just one of Gage or Julio need to be healthy for playoffs.

Agreed on White more involved.

Suh's vetaran presence on the DL might have made quite a big difference and I wonder how much he'd help if they brought him back; although he's not much of a team friendly player salary-wise. He probably wants a big chunk of money to come back (to any team) or nothing at all.

Yea I'd lean towards 49ers if I were Brady. Raiders would be very interesting, although playing in Denver, KC x 2, and the potentially very dangerous Chargers (especially if they go for Sean Payton) would be tough.

Assumptions Tom will play beyond this season are premature at best. He likely will retain the ability to throw well and his knowledge/processing skills are unparalleled, but his overall mobility is succumbing to age. He has gotten noticeably slower. At this stage anything less than a top-flight OL in front of him spells trouble; even then, options will become increasingly limited and predictable if he keeps playing.

It all depends on how the season goes. Staying healthy is key.

He's already got that mechanical brace thing. It's probably affecting his mobility.

He had an injured finger. He probably still has a rotator cuff injury.

If the offense doesn't improve especially the OL, he's going to continue to get hit a lot and struggle somewhat. Then the team Brady would want to play for may not be interested.

There are only a limited number of teams that Brady would want to play for and are a good fit. If they are not there, then there isn't an option to play one more year anyways.

Looking at the last two games, it's not just mobility, it's that a fair number of his throws are coming up short. I can buy the talk that he's got some sort of shoulder injury that he's not disclosing.

When has overall mobility ever mattered for Brady? If it's just shifting around in the pocket, I don't see how you could point to any noticeable drop off. He looks the same as the last couple years (SB and MVP tier season).

Mobility and arm wise, Brady is still miles ahead of 2012 and 2013 Manning who broke records.
