NFL Trade Deadline Rumors, including Bourne and Agholar

Harris would only make sense to trade if you have absolutely no interest in winning this year. Peppers, Parker, Bourne would be understandable but disappointing. I would be crestfallen to see Meyers traded, and relieved to see Agholor traded.
I disagree about Harris. I think they may be able to do fine if they replace him with Kevin Harris and also bring Ty Montgomery back from IR.

Could definitely see Harris going if the return is a third or higher. Terrific RB but he's gone at the end of this deal and Rahmondre now seems to be the lead back. Wonder how much the Rams or Broncos would give up for him....

I don't really think anyone else on the roster is ready to take over those early down snaps. Montgomery will be nice to have back, but only in the passing game.

Put your GM hat on: If another team calls you and says " PatsFan2, we will give you a 3rd rounder in next year's draft, what do you do? Remember, he's a f/a at year end. Do you try and resign him next year or trade him away?
Ash I wasn't thinking selfish here I was thinking about Mac and his struggles this would be the last thing he needs. I'll say if we lose to the Jets nobody is safe it's open season let the rebuild continue. We have a very tough Second half just looking at it.

If the return is a third or higher, definitely. I just don't think that's even close to realistic, considering what James Robinson just went for and the way running backs are devalued in the modern NFL.

Completely agree, I think making Rhamondre the bell cow back is a positive move for the team. I don't think replacing Harris snaps with Rhamondre snaps hurts the team in terms of winning.

I absolutely do this. He's probably the best receiver on the team, but I'm not sure they can keep him long term. I'd prefer they extend him for a reasonable rate, but I don't think he goes for reasonable rate. He is Mac's favorite target, but Mac also loves throwing to Bourne, Bourne would get a lot more snaps with Meyers gone.

Going forward I'd like them to keep Parker, Thornton and one of Bourne/Meyers to build the receiver room. Then have them use a pick on another spreedster WR to play opposite to Thronton.

I posted this earlier - that sucks for Mac but at the same time they’d replace Meyers with Bourne who I would argue Mac actually likes more.
I could see a Team like Green Bay asking for Meyers it might be tempting. Also I think the Vikings need a more capable Third guy.

I have no issue with what Stevenson brings to the offense--he probably is better than Harris. I just don't want to see him run into the ground.

Proabably?? Rham is play this bell cow on all three downs.

How long does that sustain itself for? What's the production from the position going to be like if he goes down?

Worth a shot imo. He always seemed like a player we gave up on too early (I think it was a tough roster crunch at LB that year). Worst case is he's another Mack Wilson empty speed guy, best case we have a real ILB for passing downs.

ST monster first and foremost . interesting re Cody Davis inj and Slater age. Id love to have him back.

Play Kevin Harris or Strong jr that's why we Drafted them.

You can save yourself the troubles and be pissed now the consensus is that he's gone.
I don't think this is as guaranteed as you do. I think the Pats still feel like they have a chance to resign him. Plus, their passing offense is night-and-day different when Meyers is in there and when he's not.

As we saw from the Cam year, Bill never thinks about trading away assets and tanking to get better for next year, so I doubt he's thinking about that this year when the AFC is still so shaky.

It's one thing to be taking calls about Meyers, but I doubt they're making any.

Just because we drafted them doesn't mean they're good or ready. They did basically nothing all summer and their snaps so far have reflected that.

With injuries you have to play the next man up that's how football works.

Talent is better this year than last year. The coaching staff is worse and the on field product reflects that.

I mean if you look overall at the roster wide receivers are better and everything else is pretty much the same. But why are we so much worse? No one wants to talk about the elephant in the room. Patricia/Judge vs. McDaniels
Boy Genius is certainly working wonders in Las Vegas.

This is a terrific trade for both teams.
