I think Mac comes back fired up to prove why he's the right guy for the job. If not or if he struggles, then he's clearly not the guy.
Two conclusion we can all agree with one we have decent players on the Offensive side of the ball. Two we can more than compete with the sisters of the poor. We play four of them on our upcoming schedule.

Expectation is from Jones. Not from the Pats. They could see Jones today and tomorrow in practice and feel like he could use another week

One of those guys that people try really hard to exclude from their Patspicker roster during camp, but always ends up making it and playing a ton of ST. Might start to see Bledsoe active during more games to play some (but not all) of Davis' roles.
Well, they just signed Raleigh Webb from Baltimore to take Davis' roles. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen.

Exactly. Udfa rookie who never practiced with Pats will take all of Davises roles.

I agree that Mac should not rush back and not put his health in jeapardy. At the time of the injury, pre Zappe, how Mac handled injuries was thought to be a big test for his development. To be a top teir QB he has to be effective when he isn't 100%. If the coaches feel that Mac is the starter, this is a good test against a poor defense. Picking the starter for this game is complicated.
I agree with all of this except one part. I don't agree the Chicago defense is poor. Comparing the Chicago defense to the teams we already played they have a better defense than Detroit, Cleveland, Miami, and Green Bay.

It's the bears offense, specifically the pass and red zone offense that causes the Bears to be bad, their defense is probably the driving reason they have the same record as the Pats.

Monday night, eww. I'm sure this is the game the nation wants to watch.

The specially made content for this game (the cute stuff they do with a national game) will have to draw from the 1985 super bowl. I guess it's been a while since I've seen the "super bowl shuffle".

This is incredible protection, a good route and a good throw by Zappe. It all starts up front:

It was a Two man Route Parker and Meyers with Both TE's and RB Blocking. Jonnu Smith is a much improved Blocker by the way and Marcus Cannon was @ Right Tackle at the time.

This kind of play really only works if you have a receiver like Jakobi.

7 man rush, everyone stays in (8 offensive players), 2 receivers go out. It's 4 DBs against 2.

Everything depends on a receiver beating double coverage, and Jakobi is the man for that

Or Thornton on a Go Route.

Half of that Zappe QBR goes to OL&co.

Both $$$ TEs in hiding were quietly developing some respectable PP/RB. Mondre is a 3-down beast needin just a few inches of trust in his rec..

Apart from finally seeing the penthouse TE twosome in action . watching Cannon in decent NFL form was the best sight of a great game day.
He saved them once before and he might be key swing to keep this OL rollin' when the bug bites..
OL depth black hole was waiting to eat this team down the road . now at least there's Cannon .. and possibly Hines

We finally get to see Thornton with a QB who has the arm to take advantage of his entire skillset.

We've got practice news:

The best news is Agholor not spotted please stay hidden Mac to Agholor not a good combination won one game and lost two. Agholor's juggle which lead to an Int is the only blemish on Zappe.
