What to do with Isaiah Wynn

What do you think we would get in return for an expensive underwhelming tackle for half a season?
Expensive? not at 7.5ish left on the deal... but I don't think we will trade him. However, if you were the rams, would you give up a 3rd to try and solidify that line? Would Josh give up a pick to bring him in? I don't think we'd get a 2nd... But if a desperate contender came knocking BB would listen I think

No idea why we picked up his 5th year option. I didn’t like that idea then and I like it even less today!
Because we were light at tackle and it would have cost more to replace him would be my guess

A second? No chance anyone is giving up a second for half a season with what he has put on film. Trent Williams is a hall of famer and a left tackle and went for a third and a fifth.

At this point we'd be lucky to get a 6th and get 1/2 his remaining salary off the books.

Which is why I said I don't think we'd get a 2nd. How about reading what was written instead of replying to what you think was written.

Maybe a 4th rounder if we eat 3 million cap.

I hope it's not lost on people that Marcus Cannon blew the block on 2nd and 5 in OT

Wynn just seems mentally checked out. Unless we can get something of real value put him on the bench in case of emergency and jumbo lineups. If we need to rely on him he should have realized that he needs to earn his next contract, even if he is mad at the Pats.

That wasn't Cannon...the run was to the left side between Brown and Strange....it was a great play by the defender. If he didn't make that play, it was going for a long gain.

Crazy thing is, Wynn’s the ideal swing tackle. Too bad his contract isn't..

Trade Wynn with a package to the bears for Robaire Smith.
I’m thinking Wynn and Jacobi Meyers and a a third could get it done.

I think this as well... If they are stuck with the Cap Hit hes still probably more useful on the roster as a backup than cutting him and having to sign a street FA as a backup?
If he's disgruntled they should trade him for a bag of balls... that being said I don't get the consternation about what he's making on what amounts to a one year deal. If Cannon steps in and plays the way we know he can who cares, is it your money?

If the Pats were 4-0 right now nobody would give a rat's ass. I mean the BB haters will always complain, but that's who they are... they say our best players suck. O-Line is the least of our worries, it's one of the best units in the league assuming they stay healthy.

If we had better QB play this would be one of the best teams in the league. We need them to stop turning the ball over. Maybe Zappe can provide that, he doesn't have to be amazing. He has to be a system QB... like Tom was on his first rookie contract... regardless of whether the fanboys can admit it or not.

The *best* offer Wynn will bring is a 2023 7th rounder. We’ve got 3 of them already - may as well add another one…

Maybe move him back to LT, he played well there, and Trent can play either side.

It's a headscratcher. Dude is in a contract year. He's had stretches where he played well in the past. You'd think he'd be trying to earn a decent contract from someone.

Wynn is the typical underachieving 1st round pick of the current Belichick era. Are we surprised that he's sucking in year 5? The Patriots clearly shouldn't have picked up his option and are wasting 10m dollars of valuable cap space that could have been spent on someone who actually wants to be on the team and might have the talent to help us.
