NFL Week 4: Other Games

Lol, dude you say that about every QB that isn't a Patriot. He's top 3 in most QB stats. Your emotions are out of control.

Try these.

Did you watch him play? Other than the TD right before the half, he didn’t play well against the Patriots. He didn‘t play great tonight before he was injured. And he was just ok for three quarters against Baltimore.

He is near the top of the stats because the league has played three weeks and he had one game where he had 460 yards and six TDs. Joe Flaco is 5th in the league in yards. More than Mahomes. Carson Wentz is fifth in TD passes tied with Justin Herbert. Would you take Flacco or Wentz over Mahomes or Herbert? Stats mean nothing three games into the season. Jared Goff is actually also tied for 5th in TD passes.

I'm no doctor but man.... it sure seems to me that if your back locks up, that wouldn't cause your knees to collapse.... you'd reach for and grab your back in pain..... he never reaches for his back on that replay from the Buffalo game....
It can happen. Paralysis in legs happens with spine injury. It looked like a concussion of course but who knows. And he passed NFL protocol. No x-rays for brain injury.

With Waddle + Hill on the outside and a half decent run game, there's no reason not to expect big numbers from the Dolphins offense. A pedestrian QB would be reasonably expected to put up impressive stats.

Its a good opportunity for Teddy.

There was no way that wooziness was from a back. That was clearly a head issue. I have never seen anyone try to "shake out" a back issue through their head.

That is the universal sign for "****, got my bell rung there" though.

Look..this is the same league that spent over 20 million dollars arguing over ball pressure through the federal courts...you actually believe ANYTHING that comes out of NFL Offices, your Unca Joker has a dozen suspension bridges to sell you...cheap

They did and he passed them.
I hear players have found a way to make their baseline score very low so that they can keep playing. So passing the protocol may not be what we want to base his condition on. I believe they call the test "baseline neurocognitive testing". IF you act stupid, your score can be very low during preseason and you can get to play even if you collapse.

His team is 3-0 man. Not sure what else there's to say. 8 TDs to 2 INTs. He brought them back from a guaranteed defeat against the Ravens. He's got 2 4QCB & GWD. Who cares what he looked like to you. He's been efficient and clutch.

It is great that he had Hill who had enough separation to slow down and catch Tua’s underthrown passes. That’s what happens when an average QB has a clutch WR.

I am done arguing with this tonight though because I don’t like kicking a man while he is down.

is it me or does Cincy look like they're still playing preseason football?

Your legs give out when that happens. Tua was clearly struggling with balance and literally tried to "shake out the cobwebs" after stumbling around, obviously concussed.

The fact an MMA ref would have let him take 3-4 more shots to be finished off isn't a defense. Anyone with a modicum of experience watching combat + contact sports knows exactly what was going on last week.

Amazon didn't do them any favors pointing out the hands to everyone after the initial break.

Other than against the Jets, their offense has been off all year thus far.

If you think Tua has been average this season, what do you think of Mac?

speed kills...man

He passed concussion protocol. They played by the rules. If you don’t want to endanger playees then don’t let them play.

I have said Mac hasn’t played well this year. He played great at times vs. the Ravens, but overall he has not played welk at all. Tua has played better than him. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt for now that it has to do with a new offense and inexperienced coaching.

But I would like to see Mac in an offense like the Dolphins have.

But does Tua remember any of it?

I have an ex that liked to claim things didn't actually happen if she couldn't remember them. I vote the same applies to Tua.

The head takes the brunt of this fall, not his back. There is no way that this fall caused a spine injury that then caused temporary paralysis of his legs. Come on. Plus, a spine injury that severe would necessitate immobilization and a trip to the hospital.

A point not enough people are making.

If the Dolphins legitimately thought their young franchise QB had a spine injury affecting his ability to WALK, why wouldn't they immediately send him for xrays, etc to avoid PARALYSIS?

The excuse they ran with is almost worse than the concussion they were avoiding diagnosing in the first place.
