Fruatrating game, all these turnovers. I didn't feel like the Ravens were better than us, we have to hold onto the ball better and not beat ourselves.

Hoping Mac's injury isn't serious. We are onto Green Bay.

Let's discuss!!!!

I must have been watching a different game. I felt like the Ravens were significantly better than us. And they punished us for turnovers like a good team should by scoring points.

Pats look like a team that will do some things well, even challenge some good teams, but ultimately be a question mark against every single team they play. It’s clear there are zero gimmies on their schedule.

Lamar Jackson is who we thought he was. 200+ yards through the air, 100+ yards on the ground, 4 TD passes 1 rushing TD.

Our defense got torched for 37 points, and our offense predictably could not make the comeback against so many points.

I predicted we'd lose, I predicted we'd break the 20 point mark as an offense, I didn't think we were quite gonna give up so many points. That was a brutal loss.

1-2 and next we have to go to Green Bay on the road? OOF.

Hey, Bill could’ve had him. Interviewed him, liked him. He was there.

Too early to give up on Mac.

Otoh, fat Matt can go . . . himself.

I just hope Bill gives Zappe a chance instead of Hoyer, BH is a good guy, but get someone in there that can make something happen...

Well that’s what we should do if we want that number 1 overall pick

Run defense sucked, offensive (mostly mac) turnovers killed any shot at a W. Even if Mac isnt injured long term, doesnt seem like a particularly good football team.

Parker played really well, Bourne was money. Bryant... woof.

Been following the Pats for 40 years and it's been a long time since I saw us play such dumb football at key moments. Macs int when we had 3 points for the taking was bad enough. However, Agholor failing to secure possession and let the trailing defender knock the ball loose was extra level dumb. Very frustrating game. We beat ourselves today and that's just not Patriot-like.
It's very pre-2001 Patriot-like!

Welcome to the bad old days kids! It's got coaching drama, trying to get hype over a B list QB only for them to get hurt and be replaced with someone much worse, incomprehensible game time flubs every week, you name it!

(Just kidding...I hope)

After seeing the pic of Mac in agony going into the locker room, I gotta imagine it’s not going to be good. Worst part about this scenario is that Bill is going to start Hoyer the whole time Mac is out. That’s serviceable. Might win a few games, but is it really going to make a difference? I’d rather roll with Zappe, get him the experience and see what you’ve got. I’d hate to lose Mac all year, finish .500 and losing out on premium picks to boot.

Doesn’t matter whoever they get is screwed in this situation. Rookie Brady isn’t making anything happen with this set of coaches and talent. Bad teams and coaching ruin QB’s
Bill was here when Brady was a rookie wasnt he?

Really just the kind of Patriots teams we've been seeing since the late 2019 collapse before Brady even left. Good defense that falters in the most important moments, careless turnovers the majority of games on offense.

Even with a healthy Mac, that wasn't going to change this year. A lot of players on this roster have a lot of heart, but the defense needs imposing talent and the offense needs to be way, way safer. I think there's too much of a gap to cover just by coaching the same players better.

This isn't me giving up on the season after a 1-2 start. I thought they would be 1-2 by this point in the season, and I thought they would finish 8-9. Without Mac, probably not 8 wins.

Btw if Mac is out, don’t delude yourself into thinking the season isn’t over. Every fanbase that isn’t happy with their QB thinks there is some magic guy on their bench. It almost never happens and it’s just delusion and desperation
I don't think even the most optimistic Patriots fans thought this season was not a rebuilding season and looking forward to huge cap space next year - a lot of guys I know were thinking between 7-9 wins at best - that might be a little high right now

There is much to be concerned about. I don’t think anyone was expecting a 14-3 SB run, but the regression that we’ve seen since preseason (since being 9-4 last year ?) is cause for concern.

I’ve been a fan of Mac since NE drafted him. Last year, he showed fight and never-say-due attitude. The 4th down today that lead to a Jonnu first down was the type of thing I liked last year.

But. An injury preceded by an obvious regression : cause for concern and frustration. I don’t need a yearly SB. Last winter, I was truly feeling good about Mac and year two. Now ? Feel like all bets are off. Great plays followed by bonehead plays. By Mac, by the WRs, on D….
I hadn’t thought decision making was going to be the issue with Mac, but here we are. That was supposed to be his strength and the reason the Pats drafted him.
