I liked that one catch too. I think we're looking fork a handy OMG story and promoting a low snap count for Bourne way up there. Apparently Kraft is okay with it too. We certainly did have a max involvement plan in play for Parker though (he of the 57 snaps.)

I think we're making a mountain out of a molehill. Maybe give Bourne some Parker snaps earliier in the game... but I don't think you win the game with that sweet sweet 1/3 of a TD more, or 3 catches in 4 targets for 42 yards... think about it guys, this is Kendrick Bourne, not Randy Moss. And PS, that reminds me... Randy had a time or two when this whole forum would have been happy with benching him b/c he "took a play off" or something. Whatever the sports media said that week....

If we ignore all of last year, your argument makes a little bit of sense. If we accept that last year happened, it makes absolutely no sense at all. And that's regardless of any projected win/loss outcome for this past game.

Also, Bourne's one reception was for 41 yards, so we're now expecting the 2 additional receptions in your fantasy hypothetical to net 1 yard?

I don't think we are are ever going to see our returns on Agholor boy we overpaid.
We might have started to see a return if Mac delivered an accurate ball to him down the sideline. The deep ball to Bourne was obviously on the money, but Agholor had even more separation on his man. Nothing else he can do.

This has been repeated over and over and over . Especially the part about last year and Agholor being open quite a bit and Mac not getting him the ball.

But why let facts get in the way of the forums biggest embarrassment repeating the same garbage over and over .

Nobody said to ignore 2021. He had a great 2021. First time he amassed 800 yards/5 TDs. Oh and that sweet 14 yards per catch. But in 2020 in Oakland, Agholor was over 18 per catch. In 2019 in Miami, Parker pulled down 16.7 yards per catch. You've already beclowned yourself saying Parker's whole game was going up for contested balls and compared him to N'Keal Harry in this thread.... I don't understand wtf you're talking about in "my fantasy hypothetical," I never said anything like that. I did point out that since he grabbed one long ball on two snaps played, it does not follow that every catch would be for 41 yards. I saw earlier in this thread that the sentiment has struck a chord among some of our less dug-in, dedicated followers of local sports radio.

All I said is, Bourne's a decent receiver, he's not the messiah, and it's not the end of the world if he's the odd man out for one outing.

Put another way, Curran and the ass clowns know Matt is easy to pick on and they can get a rise out of their audience by doing so.

We have our legions of fat shamers in here already carrying lit torches after one game.

However, even if he is de-facto OC, there's no way he's sitting Bourne without BB's approval.

Picking on BB doesn't go over well with much of their audience, so Matt becomes the target.
i agree with some of that. This does fall back on BB, of course he knows. I defended Bill through the Brady stuff, but this is just arrogance. Patricia and Judge? No real defined roles? i don’t need a O coordinator?
last weeks game says otherwise. I’m not a fan of Patricia or Judge. Both were competely exposed in their little hiatus.

I guess I will ask the question ...Why was Parker only targeted twice in the whole game when he was on the field for all of the snaps. I am not trying to stir the pot just dont understand it. Is it a case of well we tried twice and it did not work out too good so we will go and try something else ?
Maybe he was covered all the time by the Miami secondary ?
After the pick they weren’t going near Howard if they could help it would be my guess.

I just "bet" my ass off on bourne in the dingleberry casino bc Kraft is going to hear every one of you mewling puking little malcontents and put you on blast in BB's phone if Bourne doesn't personally own Pixburgh by the end of the day

He will have the deed to Alcoa and Iron City beer by th time this is over

Flores is a significantly better coach than Patricia.

I'm convinced now that Patricia has naked photos of Belicheck and it was Patricia who kept Jake Bequette on the roster all those years
LMAOOOO. After getting tired of Bequette, Patricia kept Geneo Grissom on the roster for 4 years

Patricia is a fat fool, so insecure that he can't resist making roster decisions about his pathetic insecurity rather than about the team. A head coach who would put such a fool in a position of authority is pretty d------d foolish himself. Fat Matt needs to get a new hobby - toy rockets, maybe - and GTFO.
There’s not one other team in the nfl who would hire Patricia after his mega collapse in Detroit

Fat WALDO Patricia will clutch onto BB’s coat tails until the end of time

Good point, but it wasn't Tom. And it was only the first possession.
Wasn’t it the entire 1st qtr? Welders offense was minor compared to either not practicing hard, being late to meetings, or showing up teammates.

It's perfectly fine to discipline players. The question is by how much and for how long. Especially if it's to the detriment of winning a game. They could've easily had him sit in the bathroom for a week every time Fat Matt used it after raiding the cafeteria. That would've straightened his ass out. For sure.
Punishments can cause losses. How many losses are caused by lack of discipline?

somebody's way off his meds in this thread...or his blow-up doll "wife" just sprung a pinhole leak in mid jackoff...

Have not read all the comments on this thread, but kinda guess the consensus is that if Bourne played more snaps the outcome of the Miami team may have been different??

This is the first game to blindly follow the "media outrage" about Kendrick is kind of foolish.. this with a sprinkling of Jake Bequette and Malcolm Butler's benching is tiring. Andy Gresch is looked upon as some sort of expert, he has made a living off of his football career (Guard for URI football) and bombasity.. I have unfortunately followed his career since he made his debut on a local radio station in 1997, could not stand him then and less so now. He tries to imitate the end of the world sportstalkers Bertram & Felger.. Sports talk radio has hit the crapper, all they want is to stir up nontroversies..

I think it's an Occam's Razor situation here

Bourne is mad bc he got signed on the cheap, a year before WRs salaries sky-rocket.

He got caught in the game and it's complaining. Nothing unusual

It took a lot to not just type "All of them," though a fair case can be made for that point.

Do you regard the JEST as disciplined or undisciplined? Displaying continuity or discontinuity in operational and locker room culture?

I think they are undisciplined.

I know, then, that in their case, lack of discipline is correlated with over a half-century of continuous futility. I cannot prove causation.

Anybody who needs their Dr. of Jockocracy PhD, survey the various NFL dynasties and take one side or another, that they are because of or in spite of discipline. Or better yet, that we can't establish causality, only correlation.

I do know that discipline is a basic key to manifesting results intentionally. I have seen other people, who have discipline, establish this tenet to my satisfaction. You plan to do a thing with an end result in mind. You make a model of the world and plan out your steps. You achieve them. Some aspect of the result comes to pass. Learn from mistakes, rinse, repeat.

"But OMG don't you dare ask a team to do that! Let them be big kids out there, it's more fun to watch!"

And with that attitude we empower late 90s Favrevruh worship. Greatest ever! Boy that will be the end of an era when we lose Favrevruh. Wow look how emotional he is! Wow look how he's just having fun out there! Look at that gunslinger mentality!

We've learned how you actually get 7 rings. It's by being the first guy in the building a lot of the days and the last guy out, and never thinking you're done. And yeah I know he got one of those rings for Tampa.

But regardless who he plays for, do you think Tom Brady's career is best characterized as undisciplined or disciplined?

Come on man.

He did the crime and paid the time (and then some). Time to move on and play him
Not only did he pay the time, but so did the rest of the team and the fan base. My concern is that Bill will keep him out so as to not be seen as bending under public pressure.

Assuming he's learned whatever he needs to learn, then yes. But this isn't Madden. You don't just look at who has the highest rating and put them in the lineup. It sends a terrible message if you reward a player who isn't all in just because he might be a little more talented than someone else. Sure, if this was Jerry Rice, you find a way to live with it, but it's Kendrick Bourne. And I like Bourne, I predicted a big year for Bourne, but you don't muck with your system of discipline for the Kendrick Bourne's of the world.

If he's back to being all in now, great. Play him a whole bunch.
Maybe it says something about coaching when you can't get team's respect without having to resort to self defeating measures.

So what? Curran has way more access to the inner workings of the Pats than anyone on this board. His conjecture is more accurate than anything we can come up with. BTW it's not like any of this is outlandish.

This is what happens when you have an organization that runs press conferences like top secret mtgs in the war room. You get a whole lot of conjecture to fill in the blanks.

You seem to be extremely triggered by this story. Bottom line we'll see on Sunday if Bourne gets more snaps or not and then we'll know.
The team limits access for a good reason. It's the team's job to win football games and keep its employees focused on that, not on serving up tasty tidbits for the media.

Your suggestion that it's now acceptable to tack together a story based on a month's old interview with the owner and a bunch of conjecture, IMO shows how far people's standards have slipped.

We'll know he's out of the doghouse.
We'll know the pressure (prob. internal) on the coaches worked.
We'll know if his perf. warranted the benching.
We'll know if the O is more efficient.
You also seem to be suggesting you want to follow a team that reacts to the owner's pressure ala the Dallas Cowboys.

I thought one of the biggest lessons Kraft took away after telling Parcells who to draft and then putting together the failed Carrol/Zampese/Grier experiment was that he should stay the bleep out of the football side of the operation.

It seems to me he probably still is and Curran is just pulling stuff out his backside to get clicks, but, regardless, the idea that Krafty Bob should be telling the football side what to do is a bad thing, IMO.

Nice scree, but, again, we have no idea what Patricia's actual role in any of this is.

We do know that Curran says he does not know.

And PS, that reminds me... Randy had a time or two when this whole forum would have been happy with benching him b/c he "took a play off" or something. Whatever the sports media said that week....
This fan base also went nuts when Bob Kraft "picked the groceries" in the form of Terry Glenn over Cedric Jones, but now it's ok for Krafty Bob the football mensch to (perhaps be) sticking his nose in because their binkie (perhaps is) being benched by the mean old coaches.

I’m not a fan of Patricia or Judge. Both were competely exposed in their little hiatus.
Guess you also didn't want Josh McD back after he was completely exposed after being HC of DEN and being fired before the end of his second season?

Geez, people, have a tiny bit of faith. It's week one. We're in a rebuild. Put down the pitchforks.

There’s not one other team in the nfl who would hire Patricia after his mega collapse in Detroit
That's what people said about Josh McD after his 11-17 run with the Tebow-era Donkeys AND after signing a deal with IND then leaving them at the altar.

We heard countless times how that was the end of Josh, he was now unhireable, yada yada.

Now he's 1-0 with LV.

Off topic, but I thought it was odd that on Sunday the camera showed Welker a bunch of times and the announcers were never like "Hey! Look! It's Wes Welker!" given that he played for both teams and was a NE icon for half a decade, transformed the position, was like the second or third most important player on the 2007 team, etc.
I missed it, I had the audio off. WW was also ex-MIA so he had connections to both teams.
