Patricia is a fat fool, so insecure that he can't resist making roster decisions about his pathetic insecurity rather than about the team. A head coach who would put such a fool in a position of authority is pretty d------d foolish himself. Fat Matt needs to get a new hobby - toy rockets, maybe - and GTFO.

If you are accusing Kendrick Bourne of missing meetings, plural, you're off-base and wrong.

Reports indicate Bourne was slightly late for a preseason meeting against the Panthers. That meaningless preseason game happened on August 19th. Why was he punished nearly a month later for being late to a single preseason meeting? It makes no sense.

It's the old let's send him a MESSAGE at the cost of hurting our own chances to win. How did that work out? Not so well against Miami. Not so well in big games in the past, need we bring up the Malcolm Butler Superbowl benching? Hopefully the Patriots will put such nonsense logic behind them and make winning football games their most important priority again.

Okay, let me sum this up: An article, quoting Tom Curran, who is quoting Albert Breer, indicates that Bourne was punished for missing a meeting in preseason, and we now know, with certainty, that THAT is the ONLY reason that Bourne played 2 snaps against Miami? Is that your position?

Good play. ONE play. I suppose we should extrapolate that out to assume that, if Bourne had played 57 snaps like Parker did, he would have caught 28 balls for 1120 yards, based on that one play. And the coaches agreed? Which is why they still only played him for the 2 snaps? Seems like, right or wrong, they agreed that he wasn't ready to do more. But yes, that was one really good play.
What nonsense are you going on about now? So you're really insisting that Devante Parker's 1 catch for 9 yards on 57 snaps is what you'd rather have on the field than Bourne producing 40 yards on 2 snaps?

Great we get it, you hate Bourne, but guess what athletes and playmakers score points in the NFL. Every WR has some bit of diva in them, seems to come with the position. Based on production in the past and in the Miami game, Bourne deserves more snaps going forward, because of one reason, it helps us win.

Fortunately about 95% of this board don't agree with your bizarro stance. It's on to Pittsburgh, and hopefully the coaches finally learn their lesson, benching talented players to 'send a message' doesn't work, but winning does, because that's how you actually get guys to buy in.

Patriots vs Miami snap count.

Bottom line, if your position is that you'd rather get 9 yards over 57 snaps vs 40 yards on just 2 snaps on offense, there's no helping you.

You clearly haven't really read my posts. I've repeatedly said I like Bourne. I predicted him to have a big season and he still might. My point is, and always has been, that if he's not actually bought in, isn't putting in the work, and is whining about targets/playing time, he shouldn't play over similarly talented players who ARE doing things right. It remains to be seen whether this tactic straightens him out, or if it just drives him further away. If it's the latter, it's definitely up for criticism, and marks a failure to read the room, so to speak. But if he comes back in week two, with a bigger role and produces well, then maybe the message worked?

You're one of the 2 that voted no, aren't you.
Anyone who thinks this dynamic is good has been watching too much Survivor or whatever that is. Kraft bossing around Belicjick over Kendrick Bourne, of all people. I was perfectly fine with Kraft telling BB you gotta keep Brady around back in 2017. Kendrick Bourne? Ridiculous

Good question here's another one...does Bourne think he's better than Agholor?? Based on last year at a fraction of Agholor's cost maybe.
Totally irrelevant. Jonnu Smith understood you don’t show up a teammate. Because Jonnu Smith is smarter. If you’re going to have factions on the team, then you might as well appoint Jonathan the OC

Put it to you this way, had Tom or Gronk been "late to a team meeting" or "not buying in", this crap Bill/Patricia is pulling does not happen. Bill was supposed to be known to "treat players equally", but there's some players even he knows he can't mess with.

Ok let's just agree to disagree but I'll say this Mac Jones will be much more happier with Bourne in the line-up consistently.

Wow didn't want to go there better you than me well said.

Wait being better than your teammate is showing him up?

It wouldn't shock me if Bourne put up close to 80yds on Sunday that unimportant player love his 41.0 avg.

It’s really odd how quickly people forget Wes Welker. Guy was benched for a half. I didn’t like that at all but this idea that BB would not be consistent has no basis or evidence behind it

Even Ray Charles can see that Bourne is better and more dynamic than both Meyers and Agholor.

I’m referring to his sideline antics after Agholors fumble. Smith had to calm him down

By the way Algholor has accomplished more in the NFL than Bourne has, which really isn’t all that much.

And I’m a Bourne fan!

Yeah, I expect resistance going there. If Bill continues with putting players on timeouts like this, they will not have a winning record as they don't have veteran leaders/talent to overcome this.

Another thing that posters are not understanding about this is that every play Bourne stands on the sidelines is money he could be losing as he was coming off of his best year as a pro.

Same outcome we lost if my memory serves this old fart correctly.

Oh sorry then yes I completely agree you can't do that when a teammate makes a mistake.

Good point, but it wasn't Tom. And it was only the first possession.

Yep dude is going into a contract year and maybe better than regarded his needle was pointing up.

Bourne is signed through the 2023 season. Not that the overall point is entirely wrong, but it's not a contract year for him.
